Well 91 is a bad pump gas.. I expected around that much on pump... Tbe is 300 whp so what 45 whp with 02 housing injectors and fuel pump.. Not bad for a mustang dyno now if that's a dyno jet then s1's are the way to go

Man cam upgrades on the IX are so wishy-washy. I wish that they would have something totally conclusive with these cams like they did on the VIII's. I was sold instantly on the HKS 272's and they performed as advertised. I think that the Evo IX is QUITE efficient and now with MIVEC and a better cooling head, you actually run into turbo efficieny issues before cam efficiency issues. I am sure there would be some power made on the Stock turbio, but nothing ground breaking like with the VIII's. I mean hell the IX's make VIII with cams power, that is a HUGE adance in efficiency.

True true but we are trying to get the most efficient of the two dyno's are dyno's but without a comparison between the two there isn't much compare besides dyno sheets...

I need more evidence. Im not going to rush into something when there is no "totally conclusive" dominant cam like HKS for the VIII. No company has extremely outperformed the other and none has proven to be the "HKS" for the IX. Also, my goal is to get 400whp. I dont need the maximum amount of power possible with the stock turbo and engine. I just want to hit that 400whp to hit satisfactory. The only reason I purchased the pair of S1 was because it was the last set available before my tune. In my eyes, no one has proven to be the "HKS" yet. GSC and Cosworth have produced great IX cams. Who knows though! Maybe someone will come along that makes 20whp more than both (just speculation)! When that day comes, maybe I will consider it. Its just too early for the IX cams still IMHO and I dont want to regret rushing into things. This honestly sums it up perfect bro:

^^ I see.. I'm just going to work on my bolt ons before I decide on a pair of cams... When AMS comes out with the comparison then we will see which cam is greater... But as of now I am not convince which cam is better.Still having issues debating what set up I would like to run on my evo. So for now. I'm am going to get the basics then get tuned for that oR a vishnu xede flash.. Then once the big power turbo and when I decide on cams will be when I get that full blown custom tune.. I agree with you completly

AMS did the s1 test

"GSC Stage 1 Cam Test...... REAL RESULTS There have been so many dyno sheets floating around regarding the different EVO IX cams on the market. We took it upon ourselves to perform a no bull$hit test. Here we go
Test Car - 2006 EVO IX SE
Modifications:AMS Turbo Back ExhuastAMS Front Mount ICAMS Lower IC PipeAMS MBCAMS ECU FlashBlitz Drop In FilterandGSC Stage 1 cams for the EVO IX
Boost: 23 Spike Tapering to 18 Near redlineFuel: 93 Octane good ol pump GasDyno: Dynojet 424XCorrection Factor: SAE with smoothing at 3
NO OTHER VARIABLES WERE CHANGED FOR THIS TEST. THE ONLY MODIFICATION CHANGED WAS STOCK CAMS TO THE GSC STAGE 1. The correction factor was the same, the car was healthy at the get go. This is a TRUE test.

Now at first glance it looks like the cams are pretty decent. Take a closer look at the midrange. This is a great Stock Turbo cam. Picking up over 25ft lbs and 23 Hp in the mid range. All this gain is also had with ZERO LOSS. Spool time is the same. Idle is perfect.
I was sceptical of these cams at first after seeing how well the stock cams perform but I was wrong. For anyone looking to pick up a GREAT stock turbo cam set, this might be your bumpstick.
I am still awaiting a return call from Cosworth to test their cam for those wondering. Im sure in the not too distant future I will have some results from them as well.
Eric "
