Thumbs down Advan RS/Gruppe-S RANT

I am not bashing gruppe-s, im just telling my story so if someone were to order these wheels they would be better informed.

OK so here goes my story:

Found the rims of my dreams and ordered them October 4th. Got an insane good deal and was quoted 6-10 weeks for them to come in. So i passed on other offers because it was a good deal and i would wait for the time because it was such a good deal.

After a few weeks, about 7, i called to track my order. I was told there was a delay in the shipment because of the December holidays. Well Sh*t that sux, but i was willing to wait till the newly quoted shipment of late January. So mid January I called again to ask a definite time they would be in....

Then once again, no shipment this month, will be here Mid Febuary. I started to get agrivated by this time. 4 + months and they werent even on the way. So I began to call every Monday to get a new ship date....

Well here it is Febuary 21st, and i called yesterday to ask where the hell they were and i was told once again no shipment this month, late March early April...

Am i wrong to be pissed? i understand gruppes cant always know exactly when the shipment is comming and i do not blame them totally. But come on! Telling me 20 different times there is no shippment this month? Give me a different excuse next time. Like the boat sank, the factory burned down, i dunno every monday suprise me with a new BS answer! They have $900 of money gaining intrest in their bank acount, and i dont even have my rims! Please god, just give me my wheels... car show season is comming and i need them....

Flame Suit on

Rant OVER!!!!

I would imagine one would know exactly where each shipement coming in is. At least I would if I had hundreds of thousands of dollars in inventory floating around the pacific ocean. But thats just me.

I'd be pissed myself. Nothing wrong with your rant. That's why I tend to wait until it's something they have on hand before I purchase anything.

that sucks man. Those are crazy sick wheels but not cool on the wait time. Are they doing anything to try and solve the mystery of where there are?

Did they tell you why they are not on the shipment? Are the rims made to order? even that it shouldn't take 5+ months to make a set of rims.

Gruppe-S can get you a lot of parts real quick. But when you are going to give a HUGE TIME FRAME already of 6-10 weeks, then over promise and under deliver, thats ridiculous. Simply put......bad service.

Yeah, I think that is too long a wait. sorry to hear that - hope it works out. And just when I had decided those would be the wheels I wanted since the Volks I had planned on are no longer available.

i think they are giving you the run arround. they should know exactly whats goin on with them. I have bought some things from them and i called and it was timely service. But when someone needs a quote they call advan when they dont have it in stock, so i would assume they have been in contact with them.

Isn't Mackin the official distributor for Advan in the U.S.? Might want to give them a call.
