Do you still have the engine damper?

 

Well for the record I have done alot of business with Gruppe-S and haven't had any of the problems everyone claims about. I ordered a set of 18x9 SSr Professors SP1's from them the very end Of November. BTW I completely understand they are very rare wheels and that it may take up to 3 or maybe 4 months to get them. First Some guy from Gruppe-S tells me that they have some of those coming in at the end of December. So the end of december rolls around and they havent come in. Then When I contact them they guy that placed my order is no longer working there. After this they tell me the wheels were for someone else. Then another employee tells me they will be in MOST DEFINATELY the beginning of Feb. Feb comes around and they have been pushed back. Then that guys no longer works there and the wills will be in at the end of Feb. Still no wheels. I was told about 3 weeks ago they would be in First of March FOR SURE. NO wheels. about 1 week ago they told me my wheels would be in the US friday. Havent heard from then since. I think because of all the pushbacks and problems I have had with Gruppe-S they should do something about shipping them next day to me for free when they get here. ESPECIALLY since my car is sitting of Fuqkin jack stand because I sold my wheels the last time my wheels Were suppose to be in. So if you read this whole thread..... Do not buy wheels from Gruppe-S because if they say they have them.. THEY DONT.... if they say they will be in between 60-90 days ... THEY WONT..

 

I always had good experience with Gruppe-S. Their prices on rims are great too. They will give ya deals.

Bummer though. That sucks. I guess the moral of the story is to make sure they have them in stock before placing the order.

took me 10 months to get mine. they did take care of my situation, however. they sent me my wheels after 3months. THEY were sent the wrong offset. something is also wrong with the tooling at SSR. it states that the +29 wheels will fit. they dont. that is NOT gruppe-s fault. they tried to remedy by overnighting 4mm spacers to me. again, to help. they didnt have to. they tried everything and they still didnt fit. Max was kind enough to email me UPS return slips to send them back. waited very patiently for the +31 wheels. finally recieved them not too long ago. some of the things are out of their hands. like customs-they confirmed my wheels were in the states. they called and left a message at 8pm to let me know they had the manifest of their container and was inventorying it. from there it took another 3 weeks to clear customs.

bashing them on this forum will only make matters worse and is inappropriate. call them and talk with them. remember i waited 10 months....

 

Have you paid for them? Most places will not actually charge you until they ship which if that is the case your not out a damn thing.

If you have paid I would have just asked for my cash back and went with another set of wheels.

Also, get some spare shoes man... it's always nice to have some footware to play in when your nice shoes are in the closet.

I'm very sorry for the situation we are in with your wheels. Since we do have several dozen SSR Professors on order I'm not sure which one your wheels are unless you e-mail me your information (or give me a call) so I can check on your individual order.

That said, we do have a 60' container landing >THIS< saturday which represents 2 containers (our last container ran into some problems and had to be delayed). Your wheels are probably on that container, but I can only make sure when you call me.

If you want a full refund at this point I will make a full refund on your deposit plus the interest rate of 5% for any deposit you have made.

I'm very sorry for this situation - the back order on a lot of the JDM wheels is not under our control and we are doing our best to bring the product in. Please feel free to give me a call and I will fix this for you.

BTW the oldest order for the 18x9.0 for EVO in SSR Professor we have on order was made on 12/3/06. Although we are definitely a bit late, that is only 12 days past the 90 deadline we originally quoted.

In my opinion that seems not to warrant a thread title portraying us as someone who is ripping off the customer - especially considering the killer prices we are offering for these wheels...
