My car has the Espiler JGT 500 Exhaust. I may need to have the exhaust pipe shortened, but I am overall pretty happy with the result.

A few years ago, I was part of a Japanese Subaru magazine shoot and I got a chance to talk with some of the Japanese photographers and they told me that in Japan it's illegal to have an exhaust tip stick out of the rear bumper more than 1 inch.

It seems like a lot of people here perfer the flush look. Just cut and reweld your exhaust to make fit.

But make sure to measure before cutting. Don't want to mess up your expensive exhaust if you paid premium for TI.

Umm no, We got the Version 2 exhaust that fits 05-06 evo's. From the sides it looks like it could possibly be shortened but we left it as is. I think it looks really good.

Is there a specific way to cut the exhaust so it will fit the bumper?

Might there be a write-up floating around somewhere that shows where to cut and how to re-weld to make it fit?
