Seibon lid-shaving weight-3,031lbs

So I installed my seibon carbon fiber trunk lid today. Well, I am wingless for the time being. I may put the wing back on (and yeah I know this is an endless debate) Last time I had my car weighed when it was corner balanced it was

3,109 with a full tank of gas.
3,109-18lbs (stock trunk/wing vs. seibon lid)=3,091.
10 gallons of gas (x) 6pounds=60 pounds.
3,091 (-) 60 pounds=3,031 now with full interior.

My goal is under 3,000lbs by spring. I have two Corbeau racing seats going in soon that weigh 19lbs each. That should shave another 25pounds off. I have a jdm ix bumper going on this week (I am going to modify the rear bumper beam and that should save about 7 pounds total)

That should put me right at 3,000 pounds even.

Also I am rocking the stock clutch and flywheel "believe it or not"....so aftermarket should be much lighter.

SOME NEW PICS

Seibon lid fitment was pretty nice....but I still need to alighn it a little better. Also my pix suck because it was getting dark out. By the way the lid flipped up crazy hard because of the weight difference. I took out one of the metal rods that create the tension between the two brackets holding the trunk lid on...and this works amazing. When I pop the trunk it rises nice and slowly like it was meant for this lid.

Buschur turbo back w/race pipe and magnaflow rear section
Odyssey mini battery
Meagen track series coilovers
Removed the innercooler sprayer bottle and nozzels
Modified front bumper beam (Took out half the weight of it)
Removed spare tire and jack
Hotchkiss "hollow" rear sway bar
(My interior of the car is untouched)

But I added:
Buschur Race FMIC w/ upper/lower pipes (much heavier than stock)
Buschur Trunk mount SMC Alky kit

Carp, that actually looks better than i thought without the wing. We talked about this before, get rid of rear wiper motor and the wiper. That'll save a few more pounds, also getting rid of the rear wiper will make the back more clean and aerodynamic.

Thanks...I used a dremel tool with functionality in mind for sure. T-bolt clamps are very easy to get at.

That is some serious $$$ for weight savings. I am not a huge fan of carbon fiber(I know.....so why the trunk lid?) I am trying to create a really nice all around car. Something that is fun on the street, descent in the 1/4 mile, and possibly autocross capable(at least with the handling). To do this I want the car to be reasonalby light...and under 3,000 with a full interior makes sense.

Next on my list:
Clutch/Flywheel
Full turbo kit w/injectors
(What turbo you ask? Who knows. A 20g would be a nice all around car but I would like more power...the hta35r is insane but without a built engine im not sure its worth 4,200. Atleast I have all winter to figure out what my goals are. That is the one thing ive done with this car from the beginning....figure out what I want the end result to be before buying the part. I have about 11grand in parts in this and thier all still being used today.(Nothing bought and sold yet) I have made plenty of mistakes with previous cars.

if ur not looking to build the motor, i would look at maybe a GT3071 kit, 20G IX turbo w/ball bearing kit, GReddy 20G kit, or my favorite-HKS Kansai GT3240 kit...

You can also remove the ac and the power steering. That will lighten up the front-end.

How about a l/w driveshaft....& replace your cat-back w/full titanium. Many options.
