Dear AMS

I've recently purchased an 03 Evo VIII. The car has 59XXX miles on it and is due it's major service. I live in Glendale Heights and I was thinking of bringing my car to AMS to have it's service done. I'm not sure what work you'd recommend on the car. I know it's had new plugs fitted recently but I'm more concerned about having the fluids changed and a cam belt replacement. I've also bought some used HKS cams (272 in and ex) and I'd like these fitted. Would you recommend that the cam belt tensioner and water pump is replaced at this point? Do I need pulleys? I've heard a lot of people saying I don't

I'd also like to get the car tuned and dynoed. Can you guys tune the Exede as my car has this fitted ( I suspect that this is becoming obsolete )

I'd also like to work out a tuning strategy for my car and discuss with you what mods I should do and when. My car is my daily driver and I would like to get my car somewhere between 400 and 500 at the wheels. I plan to get into track days and maybe auto x Something that’s reliable without putting to much strain on her. Perhaps you can recommend a figure to aim for.

Here is a link to a thread about my car with its mod list.

From what I've researched I feel I need the following:
Replacement for the Exede (its useless if no one can tune it)
Boost controller ( I assume the Exede controls this, would I need a new boost controller?)
FMIC and piping- your intercooler looks good!
Fuel pump - Walbro 255
Turbo kit - I was thinking AMS gt35r
Induction Kit - I was thinking Blitz SUS as I like the stainless filters.
O2 housing - not sure what to go for here.
Injectors - What CC would you suggest?
Clutch - again advice please. I have a stock clutch in the car and it seams fine but for how long who knows.

Also I'm curious about meth injection, stroker kits, intake manifold and much much more.

I need some advice lol Please help

Well not really I was hoping to do the mods gradually as and when I can afford to do so.

Priority is the service and cam fitment.

I was just being a wise a##! I guessed this list was in the future but the way you wrote it sounded like you were going to buy it all at once. Believe me if that was the case you would need some serious cash to throw down right now.

I know I would but like I said I don't intent to do it all at once. Where is the fun in that?

Does anyone know if AMS can tune the Exede?
How much should I be paying for an all fluid replacement service, cambelt change (water pump and belt tension if necessary/recommended), cam install and tune?

Thanks

We can tune exede just fine. Darius will be contacting you via PM shortly to take care of your request. Thank you for being so patient.

The XEDE will be fine until you decide to step up to a bigger turbo kit. Once you add larger injectors, you may have driveability issues with it... However, if you're going to pay for a tune, you may want to think about removing the XEDE and just reflashing your ECU. If the cost is similar, then the reflash will serve you better, IMO.

I didn't know the Exede had problems when upgrading the injectors. I'm sure AMS will recommend if this is the best option for me.
Thanks for the heads up.
