NO A/C compressor Belt size

ok so along time ago my a/c compressor siezed up and it was fine for a awile just as long as i never turned on the clutch for it to spin, but the other day that wasnt working anymore and starting making a loud noise again and so now ive taken the compressor out,

noww for anyone ether eliminating cause of turbo or just need to doso like my self the belt size for stock is

Stock:
Dayco-5060740
DriveRight- 740k6

No a/C Size
Dayco-5060610
DriveRight-610k6

for ppl with the underdrive installed you would have to get the belt that is 13" shorter for anyone who doesnt understand the number system to the belts ill explain.

Using the driveRight cause its more simple. For exe. 610k6 means the belt is 61" long if you were to measure around it or cut it and lay it out. the K6 represents the grove number so it could be k5 or however many grooves are in your system the RA has 6. so its k6. the zero at the end is for half or smaller ajustment sizes such as a 615k6 is a half inch longer or 61.5". than a 610k6

any other questions or comments plz feel free hope this helps everyone and if anyone wants to post the UDP belt sizes ill ajust this and add it thanks.

Anway on another note I wanted to know where the ac belt is located?? So if u have the pulley kit your car also takes a different belt then the recommended DAYCO belt for the serpentine??

to my understanding the underdrive pully is smaller than the stock crank pully meaning it would need a smaller belt.

the car runs on a serpintine belt. one belt to drive all components , its the same belt as your alternator, power steering a/c and crank shaft belt tensioner is all one belt.

your a/c compressor is under your alternator if that answers your question.

Thanks AJ...damn that really blows cuz I just replaced me serpentine and was going to upgrade my pulleys soon.. So that belt I just put on just put me $30 dollars out..lol

well im pretty sure the pully kit comes with the new sized belt so i dont htink your really out anything never know if you might have to change it back.

the pully does come with another belt. rallidew, did you notice any powr without the belt going around the ac? is it worth it or wasnt it much of a gain?

well like i said i didnt do it for gains but thers maby a few hp/trq there but im very in tune with my car but im having some MAF problems with my CAI and i need to rebuild the MAF plug but just turning your a/c off im pretty sure would give you the idea of the bit of power. but like i said i dont believe just eliminating it would proove to have much of a gain.

ok so i have arrived at the UDP belt size is a 725K6 so.

Belt size with UDP
Dayco-5060725
Driveright-725k6

Belt size with UDP w/o A/C compressor.
Dayco-5060595 if you cant get the 59.5 go with a 60" or 600
Driveright-595k6 or 600k6

you should be able to find the 59.5" but i was just covering what ifs.

So u can use the stock belt with the new pulleys?? Is that possible?

no, when you have a UDP your going to need a smaller belt, and if you go further and dont run a/c your going to need an even smaller belt

all that is covered by my first few posts on this. other than the UDP from RRM what other pullys do you know of or think will fit im pretty sure the RRM UDP is the only pully for our cars correct me if im wrong.

did the 59.5" belt fit? ive trid it and it seems to be a little loose on my 06 with udp. i think im gonna try the 59" belt tomorrow because when i turn my wheel when im idleing, my battery light come on and i lose power steering. only when im idleing though, not while driving.

Pretty sure thats what it will be around i do not have the pully me self so a realy number was made from comparison not true testing... i have an 04 non of the pullys should be different but. at least i can get ya close to what youll end up using...hope that helps

the 59.5" belt was just a little too loose. the 59" belt fit perfect.

Thanks RalliDew, you saved my *** : ) i was broke down in the city with my wife, four kids and her brother, we took two vehicles to the zoo, ac compressor started seizing up, car died on a four lane highway, pushed my kid brother in law and the 2004 Ralliart into a McDonald's, wife's phone was dead, they bought a charger and eventually found us, they got lost behind us in traffic, the ac comp. was sparking, grinding and smelled like it was burning. I was four blocks away from autozone and i am so thankful you posted about a belt size for no ac, thankfully the belt didn't break as there was no belt routing diagram under the hood or on the manual, your measurement was dead on. dropped the car off the cheap Chinese Jack twice just by torqing on the tensioner, got it back up : ) I found out I had a front right tire flat which, once the tire was off it made it possible to get my long 1/2" drive extension into the tensioner. changed a flat, love those cigarrette tire inflators for the spare! -got the new belt and spare on, drove home, and guess what, the rear drivers side tire was flat! at least we dropped the kids off at the zoo and took them back to their natural environment : ) thanks a ton man : )
