I ordered a Megan Racing Gauge from them a long time ago without any problems but I won't order there again. S hit like this happens all the time and I just want to burn these places to the ground. Even if the guy comes on here and publically apologizes he's lost my business forever. good luck man.

I cannot vouch for your original phone call, or the dates above as you spoke to three different sales associates about the same order.

I do feel bad about your situation - I really do - I think somewhere there was a misunderstanding about what you were ordering (we would not sell you new pistons at a huge loss) and that is why I gave you 100% store credit.

No one here is pointing fingers or being unreasonable... you can use the credit however you want, at any time you want - 100% of it is yours.

I have never heard someone complain so much about getting 100% store credit - now if I would have told you no returns on used parts, or hit you with a 20% re-stock fee... then I would have been being a dick - I am fact am quite easy to get a long with.

Mike,
This would be so easily remedied by issuing me a refund. Store credit means that I'd have to do further business with you. Put yourself in my shoes...would you wish to do more business with SBR?

Wow, that's it? I can believe this. The pistons don't even look usable. And what's with this policy crap..........like there's never going to be a situation when you should just look past the policy in the name of good business practice. It's not like he ordered the wrong crap.....it's not like he knew he was getting junk pistons either. Give me a break.

Jay that really sucks. I hope Mike decides to do the honorable thing, but i doubt that will happen. I hate to see good guys get the shaft like this.

Mike,

You are actually saying that Jay had exact pictures, and description of the pistons he was purchasing. I know this to be a complete farce, and believe you have the worst business practices I've ever witnessed. Those pistons should be thrown in the trash. No one would purchase those for their worth in scrap, well maybe .40cents lb? I could maybe see that.

I actually cannot believe you would hide behind a "policy" That you dictate. In a situation that could be resolved by doing a refund for someone who honestly deserves one. Hilarious, I promise you that I will not allow anyone I know ever purchase a single thing from your company. period.

I've done a lot of business with JayRacing.com and they are a tip-top company. When I had a problem with something that I ordered from Jay, he took the tim to make the corrections - even when i t was my fault.
I have never ordered with SBR, but now I know I won't. Thanks for the heads up Jay.

The bigger question here is, Mike, would you put those pistons in your own car or even worse, a customers car with out knowing those are no good?

I really hope the mods get in on this and get the ball rolling on vendors doing shady business.

This is straight ****ed up. I wonder how many SBR motors are out there with crap parts like this sold as new.

It doesn't matter if you were polite after he bought them - he didn't know he was getting used pistons to begin with. After the fact sure as heck doesn't matter!
Also, this is bait and switch and is illegal. I don't see anything in your store policy about mistakes that you all make. If Jay made the mistake on the order, and was within your 30 day policy, thats one thing. The mistake was on your end and that falls outside of a normal return policy.

Slowboy has always dealt straight with us.
I know they did some staff changes recently and such might have slowed things down.

Also, just to sum it all up in one post, not quoting and replying 300 times. We sell probaly 3-4 sets of pistons on a daily basis. Wiseco, Manley, Mahle, ETC. Never would we ever sell a set of used pistons advertised as new. The facts are facts. Those pistons would have cost over 150 dollars more than a normal Wiseco shelf piston..and he paid less than the cost of a normal shelf wiseco piston? Cmon, were not unicef...we dont give that kind of deals. Our return policy is on the website, we did make an exception here, full refund and no restock fee. If this were ultimately what its being made out to be, would you have just wanted the credit towards a set of new ones? Cmon now lets be realistic. We have no reason to be "shady" in a situation like this, nor have we in any of our self proclaimed "horror stories" and the groupies that want to jump on the band wagon to to spread the slander. Be our guest, or real customer that keep coming back for us to sell 300k a month will still be there...and like a wise man once said "bad publicity is better than none at all." Thank you, that is all.
