Atlanta Body Shop - 285 junk hit
Atlanta Body Shop - 285 junk hit
Well, I was on 285 and hit a chunk of something on the road today. It hit just to the right of center on the lower portion of the nose. The lower lip is disconnected from the main part of the nose, there is a good deal of scratching and scuffs, the left hand center screen attach bracket in front of the intercooler looks broken and the screen is torn at the attach point. The intercooler is fine, but I will need a few parts and paint. Does anyone know of a competent body shop on the East Side of Atlanta that I might take the car to for an estimate? I'm thinking of letting the insurance folks look at it (I don't live in mortal fear of insurance), but if I can get it fixed reasonably quickly and for a reasonable amount I will take care of it myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i know a guy in monroe ga but hes kinda far away and expensive. he does airbrushs on bikes and stuff like that. but he paints most of my stuff for my car. he was also the guy who painted that coffin for the 99x morning show
I've gone out and looked at the damage in the light of day and I think I will take care of it myself instead of calling insurance. The front fascia lower lip is pulled down over approx. 1/2 of its total length. It looks like there are two "C" angles that attach the main nose section to the lower lip that have pulled out of their mounts on one side or the other. There is maybe a one-foot area of rubber marks and scrapes right of center on both the main nose and the lower lip. The screen attach bracket was bent back about 15 degrees but went back into normal position with hand pressure. The intercooler looks fine and there doesn't appear to be any damage underneath the car except for some scrapes along the sump guard. I'm going to go search for instructions on how to get that lower nose section off. I'm thinking I may need a new screen, a couple of the lower nose attach parts and maybe a local area re-paint and it should be fine. I would still be interested in any additional info on body shops.
