And this is exactly the reason that I am going with cbrd over fp... Chad cares about the platform and end result, not just in modifying a turbo and making a buck. Not to mention Robert was a little too cocky for my liking.

I didn't read Robert's emails as cocky at all, just realistic and talking from experience. Of course upgrading a TD04 is possible, he's been working on turbo's for a long time (I believe longer than CBRD? not sure), but he obviously thought the frame was too small to produce any upgraded turbo's for the market. too many people don't realize how small the turbo is and that he just wanted you to be 100% aware of what you're spending your money on

I'll always be against upgrading the RA frame turbo. If the extra ~$500 X swap is really too expensive, I'd say just pocket the money and be happy with what you have. But that's just me /shrug - if people still think the X turbo is overkill or too expensive, I give up. It's your money
