EVOLUTION VIII badge - any tips on install?

I just got my Evolution VIII badge and I have a woody waiting to put it on. I am not artistic in the least, so if I put it on it will look like an Arkansas family's teeth. Any suggestions or shops here in N. VA I could take it to install it?

I might just check the yellow pages for a graphics place.

BTW, this thing looks awesome. A lot better than in the pics. Adam @ Z1, thanks!

P.S. Those of you going to Dulles Town Center tomorrow night, I will try to have it in place by then. If any of you has a level, some masking tape and a water bottle (to clean the trunk off), please bring it. If any of you are super-skilled at this stuff, I would be eternally grateful.

Post some pics Chris
Also, you might want to find out about the measurement for the badge placement from Adam, ie how many mm is the buttom of the letters from the press line on the trunk, where is the center, etc.

Something like this

I wouldn't use a level - how do you know the ground you are parked on is level, or that your car itself is level? If I was to do it myself then I would measure from the bottom and side of the trunk and lay masking tape as a guide.

You see my problem then... Damn. I think I am just going to try a good graphics shop tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I don't have pics here ReHeat, but in another thread on this topic, a guy from England has his badge on his red one posted. Trust me, it's awesome!

ReHeat - where did you get that schematic?

I didn't use anything besides a ruler and duck tape to apply the badge. It's look really professional.

Yeah, I've seen the badge on the car, but I just want to see how it looks like before it's put on to the trunk. Did it come with sticky tapes already on the back?

A member posted this schematic a while back.

Hey,
I just got my EVO VIII badge also from Adam at Z1. Here are some pics after the install:

I just looked in some mags at the UK FQ300 and figured out that the T in EVOLUTION should go right down the middle of the DSM star above it. Just center it there -- DON'T use that EVO VII schematic (although those are some cool looking prints). I didn't use a level, although I should have. just try to follow the indent on the trunk below the badge. I went about 1-2cm above that indent and just eyeballed it, and prayed. I think it's pretty level w/ the street but keep in mind that the indent follows the curve of the trunk so that if you follow that line the badge may bow up ever so slightly. The badge definitely looks better on darker color cars as opposed to silver, but it still works for me! Thanks Adam!!!

Guys - again, if you want to be contacted when the next batch arrives, you MUST email us at z1sales@z1auto.com. PM's, etc do not count, we will only add you if you email us.

Please make sure your email contains your actual name, email address you most often check, phone number, and your EvolutionM.Net screen name.

And tot hose who have been asking, there are no tracking numbers associated with these shipments. Each badge was and will continue to be shipped via USPS 1st class mail, and is fuly insured for $89.00. To those whose badges were to be sent yesterday, we were unable to do so due to the power outtage, although they will be going out this afternoon.

Thank you

I went to SignsPlus Visuals in Chantilly. Call Brian at (703) 802-1466. He just did mine today and it came out awesome. He really liked the Evo, too.

This is my favorite mod now - it looks AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
