Dang....which wheel???...I posted a question on Neals other Comp thread. Which wheel do you guys like the GT7 or the Comps? but now after seeing the different angle, I am swaying towards the GT7s. But I do not know my lack of tire tread will wait/last until April.

Guys, question here. Tirerack's web site recommends 235/40 for the 18x8.5 wheels. Can I go up to the next most common size 245/40 without any chance of rubbing. Thoughts? Maybe Neal or the other person at Tirerack who has an Evo, forgot his name can shed some light.

Neal says the 255/35-18 fits well, I have heard from some that there is inner fender rubbing with a 245/40-18. Read back in the thread, Neal talks about the sizes.

The wheel pictured above was the first prototype of the GT-7. That pic was taken about 6 months ago on my cube floor hehe. It wasn't finished in the silver or grey. Almost looked like a primer really. They just used that color to give us an idea of the final product.

The 235's and 255's fit great on the car. There's been a lot of talk about the 245's, but I really cant say for sure it will work right. As in my previous post, its the height difference that concerns me more than anything. I don't think if anyone on the board has actually tried that size yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I like the GT-7 a lot! Has that Prodrive look to it that fits the EVO and Subaru background a bit better. Still made with SSF tech too so its light and strong.

The "other individual" (actually a friend of mine ) sold his EVO and has moved on to another job.

So any idea of the weight of the rim yet? I'm talking about an 18", 8.5-9" wide.

So no more $418 per wheel? This makes them just about the same price as Volks. I was hoping to save a little and do something different then the million other people riding around on Volks. Will this price change again anytime soon?

Prices are subject to change, and unfortunately it looks like this one was increased. I imagine that price is going to stay pretty solid since were getting closer to having them in stock. But I really cant make any promises.

I just went to tirerack.com to play around and they already have the rim up for the evo. All I can say it wow! Gunmetal looks great on black, and the price is high, but worth it. 4 wheels are about $1920.00 and then some good tires will set you back another 600-900 bones. I really like these, can't wait to see pics of the real thing.
