Colorado Tuning!! June 12th, Thanks Shiv
Hello Everyone,
My name is Aaron and I work for Flatirons Imports in Boulder Colorado. We work a lot with Shiv at Vishnu and occassionally convince him to come out and dyno tune all our EVO, WRX and STI customers who have purchased a Vishnu Stage Kit. Shiv takes time out of his schedule to take care of our customers, so I am inviting anyone who has a Vishnu Stage Kit to get in on the Dyno Day that Shiv has agreed on for us.
He will be out on June 12th, possibly the 13th(if we get enough people to fill up the day)
We will be taking ten people per day, Although we do already have ten people signed on for the 12th, I would like to invite anyone else that may be interested in taking advantage of the dyno tuning to see if we can book both Shiv and MAC for the 13th as well. The cost is $90.00 for your hour on the dyno which will be paid to MAC Autosport LTD.
Mac Autosport LTD. is the location and they are out of Parker, Colorado. More details will be coming as soon as I get them. WE will be setting up each car for one hour slots on the all-wheel drive dyno and starting around 10:00 am and going on until the list for the day is finished.
If you are interested or need details please ask away on this thread, pm me, send me an email or call. I will do the best that i can to answer any and all ?'s for you.
Thanks
Aaron

K so how does this hole thing work cuase Ill want a reflash and a tune how much for all of that? And Im noe sure if I want to give them my money every time I e-mail them and ask questions they never answer.
Vishnu does not have a reflash available yet for the Evo. You have to run their piggyback ecu system (which is plug and play and can be installed in minutes) called the XEDE. If you want more information about it all, please contact me.
EDIT
Found the Reflash info. It was staring me in the face. sorry about that guys. here's the basic information:
XFlash Re-Mapped EVO ECU.......... $395
For those who appreciate a stealthy and simpler approach and don’t mind sacrificing some expandability, letting us re-program the factory ECU is an excellent option. Each remapped ECU carries over a decade of engine management mapping experience and is the result of extensive in-house dynamometer and road testing. XFlash offers a higher rev, boost and speed limits as well as carefully revised boost, and high and low octane fuel and spark advance tables. We also offer safe and effective calibrations for a variety of engine configurations and octane levels. All future re-mapping is free of charge if upgrading with Vishnu components.
and here is the link to the in depth information:
xflash Evo Ecu
thanks

Silvercar, shiv was just out here less than 4 months ago so most everyone who had a Vishnu setup hs been taken care of already.
We sell on average 20 systems every 6 months, wether they be full kits or just reflashed ecu's. most of them being WRX's and STi's
As far as the reflash, I am trying to see if Shiv will be able to do it out here rather then have you send in your ecu and have down time. I will get back to you soon.
As far as customer service, there are only three guys there at Vishnu, one packer and two retail phone order guys. Shiv is there occassionally if he isn't travelling out to another state. Their phone line is just as busy as options auto salon's wholesale line. Which means it may take repeated calls to get a hold of them, but once you do they take care of you.

Aaron:
I bet you could get a bunch of folks interested (me included) if you could get Shiv to comment on this board that he would do the firmware upgrade for the EVOs that he tuned his last trip to Colorado in October.
I have the Vishnu stage 1+ including cam and cam gear with Shiv's original flash and Xede map.
I need to get the firmware upgrade. I'd rather have Shiv do the reflash on a dyno so that we can get everything syc'd up properly.
What do you think?

well i have two months to get it all together, if you can rally more people, that may be interested in the update, i'm sure that shiv will be more than willing to take care of it all.
thing is we only have 7 spots left for sunday, so it willbe limited.
i'll look into that as well once i get a hold of him. let you know soon.
thanks

Got a question. I'm looking to install a stage 1 kit into my Evo and it looks like Colorado has the closest official installers to Illinois. However, here my concern: CO is at altitude and 99% of the time I'm cruizin' in IL ... will tuning my car at a higher altitude affect it's performance at lower altitudes? Or is that all customizable via the Xede...?
