Serpentine Accessory Belt, is it the same on Evo VIII and IX?
Need to change my belt and want to order the Goodyear Gatorback belt. Been using them for years with great results. (please don't try to convince me otherwise). I went on summitracing.com and they list a different belt for the 03 than they do for an 06. I thought these were the same size? On summit they show part number 4050515 for my car but I read on here that someone purchased it and it was the wrong size. Then I searched for an 03 and they had part number GTR-4060705. Anyone know which one is the correct one?

I was told it was, I have one in my garage but havent installed it yet, I'll try to install it in the morning. The one I got was for a 03, Goodyear 406075 from Autozone.
Thread where I asked about it a few days ago. Note on the last page someone said Advance lists 4060705 part number for IX's.

The OEM accessory belt on my '03 was looking a bit sad by 45K so I replaced it with one from advance auto. The advance auto belt ran to 120K, still looked good but got replaced anyway at timing belt time. With advance its a mixed bag but their accessory belt appears to be better than OEM.

i've ordered the goodyear gatorback, very curious to see what the "quiet" feature is all about and if it works or not.

The belt bought at Advance Auto is a Dayco and carries two numbers: 6PK1790 & 5060705.

You misread or I wasn't clear in what I wrote. The belt didn't go 120,000 miles. It went on at 45K and rode to 120K or 75,000 miles. I don't recommend this but since the replacement belt was showing little wear I decided to stretch things a little and synchronize the timing and accessory belt changes at the 60 K mile interval.
