I don't get why everyone doubts these guys. Seems legit, and doing innovative stuff.

It all stems from a thread started by ET a few years ago & it went sideways w/a lot of negative comments

These guys are tuning & building wild 46G3's as you can see. If we lived in Greece, it would be so easy to witness these cars run at the Crete track (great YT vids on the cars that run there)

This thread will likely go bad as well

It's all because these guys are doing all sorts of new stuff that others haven't even thought about. While everyone else thinks that bolt ons are all you need.

A couple things I am skeptical about based on the info in the video.

First is the claimed 1.8L engine that is mated to a huge turbo that has a carbon composite-carbon kevlar CHRA.

It's my understanding that if you have a larger displacement engine its better suited to a larger turbo. This can be seen when you compare the compressor map to the desired pressure ratio.

However, they choose a smaller displacement engine with a big turbo. That means it would most likely fall outside of the efficiency islands.

Even if they compensated with the CHRA to increase the efficiency range of their compressor that seems unlikely.

The sizes of the CHRA look different. How can he hold the CHRA in the palm of his hand but it goes into that large compressor housing?

Carbon Carbon composites have been used in aerospace applications. However, the construction of the CHRA shown doesn't look like anything close to a carbon carbon composite. It looks more similar to a 3D printed model.

Video is clearly sped up, no discussion needed.

Look how fast he goes from his shifter to both hands on the steering wheel. Does the guy have super powers like the Flash?

To be fair, F1 uses 1.6L motors so downsizing isn't absurd to think would happen

I don't doubt that at all. The one thing I call into question that makes me question everything else about them is the fact pretty much all their videos are sped up.

You don't need more displacement for a larger turbo. You can easily substitute that with RPM. Sure, it will spool later, but you're just shifting the power band. They are revving the **** out of that 1.8! Nothing looks fake or sped up to me.

His hand speed is quicker than a professional boxer. So either this dude has INSANELY fast hands or it's sped up.
