Yokohama Advan A052

Yokohama Advan A052
Im in a little bit of a pickle currently as I found a bubble in the sidewall of one of my tires Friday night as I was swapping wheels for auto-x the following morning.
The set was close to being shot ~4/32 left so I question whether it makes sense to purchase a new one and shave it down vs picking up a new set. The challenge I am having however is that the RE71r's(which I planned to pickup after I killed my current tires) are on backorder until July.
I would like to run a 285/30-18 or 295/30-18 and unfortunately there are only a few tires in that size. My current tires are the ZII SS which I know are slower than the current crop of Extreme Summer tires i.e RE71rs Rival S Rival S 1.5 etc etc. so Id like my new set to be something comparable to the current creme of the crop.
As I was poking around on Tirerack's website last night I happened to notice the Advan A052, a tire which I know nothing about. It appears to be more of a track tire semi slick if you will however they show a UTG of 200 so it would qualify as a street tire. Now Im seeing they only come with 6/32 and most likely are bad in the rain but Im wondering if anyone here has feedback on that tire?
My guess is its more track oriented than auto-x but its merely a guess. Im not sure if its Yoko's new replacement for the AD08R or a supplementary tire. It shows it being a 200 treadwear as noted however you know how it goes with manufactures these days.
Im also considering attempting to fit a 315/30-18 Rival S on my car but thats a pretty big jump from a 285/30 so Im not sure how much more invasive that'll be on my poor car.
Any feedback on those tires or something else that I should buy would be much appreciated.

315/30r18 isn't gonna fit. Dallas has a hard time fitting his 295/30r18 HoHo's.
Can you find anywhere else that may have the RE71 in stock? If you have to, order 1-2 form a couple different places to come up with a whole set?
Otherwise, I wouldn't have an issue getting the Z2ss again. They're a great tire.
You could always go full baller and splurge on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's...lol. That advan A052 looks questionable for street use.

Yeah I know its a stretch but it was just a thought. I saw the OLOA evo was on 315/30's on a stockish body so its doable just a matter of cutting more stuff, lol!
I havent started to call around to different places but thats a thought I had granted I started my search on Tirerack as I always do.
I have nothing against the Ziiss hence why I had them in the first place. But there are better auto-x tires out there so I dont want to get another set. If I were to do that I would just buy one to hold myself over for a couple months.
I just happened to see those A052's and figured I'd open up a discussion on them being that they come in at UTG200. Keep in mind I would only be using these tires to drive to auto-x race and drive home; I have another set of wheels that I DD on.

If you have another set of wheels, I would be getting NT01's...lol

Arggg yeah I recall seeing some interesting stuff going on in the rear end; just want sure how much that comes into play in regards to fitment vs just better suspension geometry.
Either, way I dont want to derail this thread as Im trying to gather feedback on the new Advans. NT01's are good but not really an auto-x tire not to mention it would bump me to a race tire class in which case then Id much prefer to have some A7's and at that point with no truck and trailer still I have no interest in swapping wheels.
So on that note who here has info on the new Advans?

Just to followup, I received a return call regarding the A052's and Yokohama's response is that its a replacement for the Ad048R and therefore more of a track oriented tire rather than auto-x. Similar in comparison to the Pilot Sport Cut 2's. The search continues...

If its an AD08r replacement, that is more like an NT01 or R888(r). The Michelin PSC2 is a street tire. Would work great for AutoX if you wanted to drop the coin.

Its not an AD08R replacement but rather the A048. Sorry looks like I put a "D" in its name prior. The Pilot Sport Cup 2 is a great tire but as you mentioned its also very expensive. A guy with a GT4 had them on his car last year as well as a C7Z was rocking those things and I believe they were pretty stout. Still more track oriented and auto-x.
Both come with limited tread depth not good in wet conditions and will likely wear very quickly. I think at this point the best thing I can do is put in an order for Re71r's and pick up 1 Zii to hold me over for the time being.
Now if only I could find somebody that has one kicking around. Just need something to hold me over for a few events...

Try calling multiple vendors to piece together a set of RE71r's?

I'm not sure, I checked some of the other online retailers and they're showing out of stock as well.
I was going to suggest 275/35r18, but Tirerack shows those are out of stock also...

Thanks yeah Im coming up empty handed as well. I could drop down to a 275/35 and go with some Rival S's but I dont really want to. I hate the thought of spending over $1000 on something I dont even want haha.
The other question is more theoretical but here it goes. I love my Zii's and have always had good luck with my Dunlops aside from my terrible road hazzard luck. Sidewall bulge is a new thing for me but I've consistently for now 5 sets in a row ended up with a nail/screw or other tire damage. This is why dd'in on sticky wide tires with short sidewall sucks.
But anyway, my question is, its known that the current crop of extreme summer tires i.e RE71r's Rival S are faster than the couple year old Zii SS. Would you think a 275/35 Rival S would be faster than a 285/30 ZII SS?

Idk, the tread width measured by tire rack is almost an inch narrower going down to the 275 rival s
