Anyone care to give me an opinion?
So I'm looking to get an Evo and can't decide between a 9 or a newer 10 model. I'd like to have a newer car but in the same token I want something I can mod the crap out of and not worry about warranty. I was told by someone to post my findings here and ask you all what you think on these prices.
First up is this black 9 with a few mods. I have no clue if any are good other than the ETS Intake and Tanabe Exhaust - https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/31840192
Next is the red 9 with some mods as well - https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/29944668
My main questions are, are these good prices? Anyway you think I could talk them down with the car being 12 years old? I know they're sought after but let's face it most banks or credit unions won't give that high of a loan for a vehicle that old unless you're looking at some kind of rare vehicle in mint condition. Any help is greatly appreciated

The RR is good looking. Engine has certainly been tuned. Its on Speed Density which is a high level intake mod
Cant read the Dyno chart. Mileage looks pretty good & the price is not too far north. Might be worthy of negotiating
Rear bumper cover has been changed & its missing the trunk plastic sill piece. (Might be a repaint?)
Id be interested in having a compression test done & an overall inspection.
EDIT:
The black is not bad. Miles are up there. Boost controller on interior. Its an SSL pkg (sun, sound, leather). Not a bad price IMO

Found this one as well even though it's clear across the country lol. Not sure on mileage but only performance parts is a Greddy catback so I could do what I want with the rest. Also looks to be debadged.

Sorry for the triple post (can't edit with the app) but I found this nice white one that's fairly close to me (drive from WV to IL isn't terrible) and I could talk them down in price probably.

Miles are north of 100K but thats to be expected. Price look OK
Again, Id be interested in having a compression test done & an overall inspection

I also checked the KBB value and the highest I'd pay for it is $15k. It books for $11-$14k. My issue is with it being 8 hours away I can't go and haggle. I have to do it over the phone but I will definitely keep the compression test and inspection in mind when/if I'm able to get this.

Talked to a guy about the white one just now and they'll come down about $1,000 on it give or take which makes me happy lol. Also offered to do a FaceTime walk around so I'm not being surprised by anything at all if I decide to get it. The only performance is a k&n filter. It still has the stock air piping. So time to call the bank and see about a loan. Wish me luck.

Skip it. different brake calipers, random parts in the engine bay. I saw both side pics and the first engine pic and didn't look any further

meh. and HOLY SHINING PRODUCT ON THE ENGINE. jesus this place details their cars with armorall on everything....SD car, unless you know the history i'd skip it as it looks fairly modded

not bad. looks stock in terms of the engine aside from exhaust. tail lights, suspension (probably tien springs unfortunately) and wheels seem to be the only mods. different brake rotors too. missing the front undertray

biggest issue are the black trim. you need to find out if those are black body panels or if they were white ones that were painted or what. car is also missing the undertray but seems OK otherwise. most important thing is to find out if the timing belt has been done (definitive answer, not yea we think it has) and budget accordingly. knock another 1k off if you can if the belt hasn't been done. not a bad looking car besides the detail job

Timing belt has been done as well as all fluids and a new clutch on the white one. I asked and he said the black parts were painted that way from the previous owner.

I would knock off more than $1k unless you like the black look
not a bad price, but getting the car all one color is going to require some legwork on your end and sourcing used side skirts and a new rear bumper isn't exactly a walk in the park unless you're wanting to shell out money
