17' WRX Stage 2 to a 15' EvoX - what can I expect?

Hello all, Im coming from a stage 2 WRX (full straight pipe exhaust, fmic, AOS, Intake, egr/tgv deletes)

I am just wondering what I can expect going into the Evo, it should be better handling than the wrx which is why Im buying one, I do alot of tail of the dragon type roads. also wondering with the same like mods from the wrx (lets say 4k worth) what whp would that put the evo at? In the wrx it was around 300.

Any bad points? **** like get this mod to fix this problem etc etc(blowby in the wrx so aos and deletes to run better) if that makes sense ( i know of the pump if in snowy place to get it in the trunk )

Unless you are buying a 0 mile '15, get a 2014 instead, that way you get Recaro seats.

A lot you can do with 4k on a X. Catback, hfc, intake, uicp, 3port, tune will get you in the 320-340whp range. That's about $2100. Take the rest and invest in coilovers, wheels, brakes, audio or driver mod.

if you can do a little more: turbo, injectors and fuel pump would be about +$2600

Not much you need to do besides make sure the fuel regulator hose is ziptied and you have the latest fuel pump relay from Mitsubishi.

The X does really well stock, with the AYC. You won't really need to do much to really, really enjoy it. Buying parts is always fun, though LOL
Good luck!

Imo, a good streetable X upgrade path would be something like:

-Ohlins R&T w/10K front/12K rear springs from PSI since they offer a free revalve on the rears for running the stiffer springs http://performanceshock.com/

-ETS Intake http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/E...-X-Intake.html

-Tomei Ti single exit exhaust https://www.maperformance.com/produc...-4b11-by-tomei

- Tomei Ti test pipe https://www.maperformance.com/produc...ancer-ralliart

-MHI TF06-18K from FP http://www.forcedperformance.net/PROD/49S36-07000.html

-Walbro 255 https://buschurracing.com/br-cart/fu...stall-kit.html

-1100cc Injectors https://buschurracing.com/br-cart/ho...et-high-z.html

You ran into the same problem I did. Ditched the WRX, got a mustang 5.0, supercharged it and it is a beast however it is to easy to lose the rear end so now going the EVO route.

intake
turbo back
3 port
tial qrj
tune
tint
lowering springs

I lived in TN for awhile and I defiantly would invest in a upgraded radiator and hoses. Oil cooler wouldn't be a bad idea either.
