cam angle sensor plate position!
yesterday my mechanic took off the cam angle sensor housing because it was leaking oil, he wanted to reseal it with RTV but when he took off the trigger plate he didnt mark the position where the trigger plate was...now it starts up and idles fine but as soon as i give it throttle to about 4000 rpms it missfires and sputters..
can anyone please tell me how do i reposition the cam sensor plate and which way should it be?

Never worked on a 9.
The key point is when you are working with mechanic who is less
Familiar with evo, always use service manual as a reference point.
There is a friend who also has a 2.1 destroker who might help you in future in khi.

Can anyone also tell me if the cam angle sensor is supposed to be dry or covered in oil when you take it out? Mine was covered in oil..
The cam sensor housing where the plate is was in oil too hence the leak but that should be dry right?

Does anyone know if there should be a rubber seal or gasket on the cam sensor housing? Should there be a seal in the area which is in the picture? I put RTV sealant but its still leaking oil from bottom of the cam housing...
