Help! Unknown sensor

Hey guys. So I've slowly been reinstalling my engine after it being removed for over a year and I'm stuck on a sensor. Anyone got any ideas on where it goes? Any helps appreciated.
cheers

It looks like an oil temperature sensor.. doesn't look OEM. Do you have gauges?

definitely a fluid temp probe. Looks like 1/8 NPT thread. Look on the oil pan, thermostat housing, and oil filter housing for potential locations.

^Boom there you go! On second thought seeing the teflon tape at the bottom of the treads and Sean's comment about it maybe being NPT it wouldnt go to the oil pan acting as a drain plug. Tapered threads and repeated R&R would not be a good application given the tapered threads. So perhaps he had it tapped elsewhere?

Yeah so I'm running defi guages. I've already got another sensor in the oil filter mount but I'll look around the thermostat again. Pretty sure there's nothing on the sump
