I just picked up some duralast max pads and rotors from autozone. I opted for the semi metallic and not the ceramic version. I will report back once installed. My other option was the stoptech performance pads but the reviews looked really good for the duralast pads so decided I'd give it a shot. If you race or do track days duralast also make a gt race pad that looks really promising as well. The max pad is not just some generic pad, its rated as an upgrade to the oem brembo fyi

Weird cause my ds2500 never squeal, i have no shims and copper ease tge back of them every 6 months, i also have dba 2 piece discs so it might be those that stop it squeeling

i had a pretty mixed experience with the DS2500's. I had 2 sets on my Evo 8 and they never squeeled, i put a set on my wifes X and they made god awful amounts of noise. Same install and break in procedure for both. I ended up switching both cars out to stoptech because I didn't need the DS2500's performance level for our daily usage, and to ease the cost a bit. The DS2500's also seemed to eat my rotors with daily driving duty. Literally no complaints in the stopping department though, they where great and had very consistent stopping across a wide temperature range.
