This is a long time coming and frankly I could have probably waited longer but at this point I feel like this has taken way too long already.
I picked up a MAP Cast V-band turbo kit back in November 2016. I was also going through a motor build at the same time and long story short is that the motor build took forever and it took until August of this year to get my car back in my driveway.
Since then I've had a bunch of little issues that I have had to deal with to get the car working correctly overall. Nothing to do with the turbo kit and every thing to do with the build. I'm still working through some issues but I didn't want to continue waiting to make this thread.
If you want to follow my build thread, take a look here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/pr...e-build-s.html
So here are the specs of everything:
MAP cast v-band Turbo kit:
PTE5858 turbo v-band in/out and .82 stainless steel exhaust housing
MAP stainless cast v-band exhaust manifold
MAP downpipe non-dumptube version
Turbosmart 14psi external wastegate
Depo aluminum upper intercooler pipe (used in place of kit SS pipe)
MAP intake custom wrinkle black plus added -10AN and -6AN breather fittings
AEM 7.5” x 5.125 air filter (upgrade from kit filter)
Since I track the car I also had custom inconel heat shields made for the exhaust manifold, turbocharger and downpipe. They are a work of art and worth every penny. See photos at the bottom of this thread.

Current power...
Caveat, this is low timing and low boost. I'm still working through the issues the build has had and still working through the tuning.
That said, I think it's making phenomenal power for the low boost and low timing I'm currently running. I have no doubt this setup will make over 600whp easily and I will update this thread when that hopefully happens. It's hard to tell from this single gear pull but the turbo is more responsive on the street than I ever imagined it would be.
Other caveat, I maxed out my ID1300s and have ordered a set of ID1700s.
Blue plots are a break-in pull at 19-20 psi.
Red plots are current tune, maxed out ID1300s and 25-24psi.

The kit overall is well made. I had some small fitment issues at the beginning but got everything working. The cast manifold is a tank and I have no doubts it will last longer than the car.

With the engine cover on you can't even tell the car has a catch can and the can itself is hidden under the intake

Great results!! Were your heat shields done in MN ? My setup is currently wrapped but that looks so much better. Whats your opinion on heat reduction resulting from installing these
