Omega Designs Aluminium 4g63 Update - UK
After years of testing the aluminium 4g63 block we have finally decided to see what this amazing engine can do on race fuel. So off we went to the Scooby Clinic for a mapping session with Syvecs guru Pat Hepburn.
I know a lot of you didn't believe that this car was only running on vpower and 1.7 bar at time attack this year due to the crazy terminals it kept hitting on every straight, but this is the power it genuinely produced at RCM last time it was mapped.
So, now the car has done plenty of trackdays, a sprint and 2 Time Attack events, it was time to up the boost to 2.25 bar on vpower and 2.4 bar on VP Import. Here's how the mapping session went:

It's only running a standard inlet manifold which is very slightly ported but it's amazing what that OEM part can flow. We could run a bigger inlet manifold but with 770bhp per tonne and 200bhp more than when I last drove it do we really need any more? It hit 148mph at Croft this year so god knows what it will do now. Please wish me luck with my new braking distances!
Time for a trackday?
P.S. For those of you who don't know this car, here's a video explaining all:

Here is a healthier non-defensive response:
”Hey razorlab, yes it seems lean, I think you missed where I stated this is on VP Import”
of course then I would then reply, “okay thanks for the info, yes I have tuned VP import in many time attack cars and that’s still lean as crazy *****.”
Thanks for letting me know where you stand on the forums though, good luck with everything!
also, the images are indeed now broken, they where not before.

The images work fine, but some people's devices can't see dropbox links for some unknown reason. Unfortunately photobucket now costs $399 per year so until another IMG host is available there's nothing I can do about it. If it helps, I'm using google chrome and the images are right in front of me now.
Hi, it's electric power steering. Yes the rack is in the standard position.

images work for me too but I did install the Chrome photobucket fix plugin. Search photobucket embed fix.

Kenny, sweet build man, must be a wicked blast!
I heard someone state that you're running a PTE6466.
It must be a Gen2.
What turbine housing are you running?
I really like how low the turbo is mounted in the engine bay with the long runner bottom mount, but I imagine that's only possible due to the dry sump oiling system.

As soon as the weather gets better we will be out again.
For now...here's a few things that Omega Designs have made recently:
Rear lower billet arms for Evos 4-9
Evo 5 billet uprights, front and rear. The rear also fit 4-9. They also have the fronts on their Evo 7 which we have ran for over a year now with no issues.
The fronts drop the ball joint by 40mm. No need for a horrid bump steer kit anymore. Have a look at your lowered cars guys. Are your lower front arms pointing up?
