Injectors

how long does it take to change injectors? My cars getting tuned Thursday and I plan on doing my injectors the night before, just wanna know how long it takes.

If you don't drop the injector connector metal retainers, intake seals or fuel rail spacers, takes about five minutes.

For the experienced, I would say no more than 30 minutes

First timer. plan on 1 hour min (make sure you install new injector seals). Take your time!

Okay thanks and do I need to disconnect my fuel pump?

No, but it's a good idea to unplug the injectors first, then crank the engine until it won't run any more so you know fuel pressure will be relatively low. Otherwise you will get a ton of fuel spray when you pull the first injector out, as opposed to just an annoying amount

just bear in mind that if you change the injector capacity the car will not run right untill it is tuned..

Ya it's getting tuned in a couple days that's why I'm finally doing them. Just wanted some tips on doing it and how long it was gonna take. Thanks guys

What he meant is: how will you get your car there? It will run really rich, depending on how much larger your new injectors are.
