High idle after Parts Install

I just put on my Ported intake manifold and 65 mm Throttle body. Everything looks to be hooked back up. once i started the car it all seemed fine but the ideal is now at 2000rpm. I have read that i can adjust the biss screw to see if that drops the rpms or is it tune related. The car seems to drive fine I plan to get the car tuned as soon as i figure this out. Any help is welcome. Thanks

You will need to adjust via BISS and calibrate the TPS. Evoscan will make life easier but calibration can be done with a multi-meter.

Are you sure your throttle cable doesn't have too much tension on it? Also who rebuilt the TB? If the black goo is taken off air can leak by the plate and will cause a high idle.

Make sure you have enough slack in the throttle cable like posted above.

Also make sure your TPS reads at or close to 13% at full temp idle. Once that is done, use the evoscan SAS mode and adjust BISS to proper idle.

Buschur rebuilt it. I checked the Tension on the Throttle cable that was my first thought.

Assuming everything is installed correctly (I.E. throttle cable noted above) and you reset the ECU, then let it run long enough to cycle and make adjustments:

1. Spray carb cleaner around all intake parts and see if that changes anything. LOTS of potential for vacuum leaks.
2. Use EvoScan to set TPS and BISS, as mentioned above. If IACV trims are waaaaay off, you know you have a leak.
3. Check to see that the TB butterfly sufficiently closes off air (there may be coating on the back of the butterfly and/or inside the TB to do so), as mentioned above.

For a start, anyway. Good Luck!

Reset ECU, like what is listed above or disconnect batter then restart it.,

Bad gasket = very likely a vacuum leak. I usually pull the ecu fuse, but battery also works.

Have you confirmed that your TB gasket is indeed leaking? Im like 99% sure the gaskets are bored out a little bit too and as such Ive reused my TB gasket a few times now and dont think it posed an issue. I'd recommend you confirm your gasket it bad before pulling your hair out trying to source a 65mm one. But if your gasket is bad Id try reaching out to whoever ported yours (DB) or maybe try reaching out to Aby or Erik @ Milspec
