Evo Oil Cooler Vent Blocked off? Drag
Hi team

I have seen some pics of cars overseas running oil coolers vents blocked off? Whats the go with these?

Just curious and keen to use it on mine if it serves a purpose?

I suppose they are used to reduce the aerodynamic drag coefficient, mainly for drag races as you sacrifice the cooling.

thats what i assumed. But wanted to make sure i wasn't doing anything silly

Most of the cars you see with those block-offs don't have oil coolers to begin with. Posts above are correct about aerodynamics though.
