2003 Evo8 resurrection 10years later

Hey guys my names Kevin and i have been a fan of the Evo ever since i could remember and im pleased to say i finally got my hands on one!
IG: @kraziee8 (follow the build)

Heres what i know....
The car was my Cousins he bought back in 09 drove it for maybe a year or 2 then melted the clutch letting everyone drive it. after that it has been sitting ever since with the clutch HALF done... =[
so the Trans a Misc parts are scattered all over the car... so who knows what im missing and whats actually there.. i have no exp with these cars (i come from the toyota scene) any help is appreciated!!!
Also im in Vallejo,CA if anyone is close and wants to help out.

goals are to get this baby back in action asap although im not the biggest "baller" so parts and what not wont be flowing in like crazy. but be assured they will... once i figure out what i actually need.

If youre looking for a good street clutch that can handle some power, most of us run the ACT HDSS clutch. Thats what in mine, making 460 WHP

Yeah, thats the one!!!. MAP is pretty good w/their pricing. Sometimes calling in your order will get you more of a discount (make sure you mention to them, youre an EvOM member & saw them on our site $$$$. Should replace the flywheel while youre at it!!!

You should look around the rack & pinion & make sure the bushes look OK. Check the sway bar bushes as well & your tie rod ends. Motor mounts as well

Dude get that car covered and don't sit gear on the paint, these things scratch so easy, unless you are planning to respray all good go for it. First get shop manual, they are not hard to put together but just fiddly and takes time, don't rush anything and maybe if you are planning on big HP get your trans and tc built while its out and a good clutch, good luck

Okay so finally getting some time and taking a week off from 7\12-7\19 so im going to hopefully... getting this thing on the road and driving for the first time in who knows how long...
I went with the ACT HD Sprung clutch and streetlite flywheel
I need to get some ARP flywheel bolts and all new fluids any input on this is appreciated i plan on running AMSOIL fulids throughout but like i said let me know what you use and if im wrong but ive always had great results with AMSOIL (4runner,IS300,MK6Jetta)
Anything else i should check and or do before getting this on the road? or even starting it?

Hey Kevin. Thanks for the update

Sounds like youre getting close to getting her going?

Do you have any tune details on where this motor stands? Not sure of the motor details but certainly the basic tune function should be analyzed
