Hunting down this oil / trans fluid leak?

Anyone know what could be leaking? I found oily residue sitting on top of my transmission. Dripping down under the trans. And my rack/pinion boot is soaked pretty good too.

I cant find the source of the leak. No oil drips above the trans (valve cover, etc). Catch can is pretty much dry. Trans bolt on bottom is dry. I don’t think it’s engine oil I feel like it’s acd / trans fluid..

posted some pics.

Also - this was noticed after a day at the drag strip where the car was pushed pretty hard... if that info is useful.

That links underneath the car, not to the top of the trans.

Best option is going to be to hose it off with brake clean, then watch it closely to see where it's coming from since you don't have an obvious source.

Where are you feeding your turbo of oil? If its coming from the head check that line. I had a similar leak and that was my problem.

Hmmm how about the shifter linkage area. I guess if it wasn't bolted on right it could spring a leak but I couldn't imagine that much coming from it.

p.s just a random area i guess could leak transmission fluid thats on the top.

If you find you need to pull the control housing there's a return spring in a little can on the end of the shaft. I've pulled the control housing several times and only once had this spring fall off and disappear into the transmission's innards. So, be careful.
