Quality, High Temp Vacuum Caps...Where to find
I am struggling here. After removing my EGR, I had a few lines with crappy vacuum caps that proceeded to start cracking and leaking within a week.
I found some silicone ones online but then realized when they got here it was only recommended to run them up to 20 minutes at 400Deg lol.
Those of you with EGR deletes, what caps are you using? Size and links would be helpful thanks!

With EGR delete the only thing that needs capped is the two tubes off the throttle body. I just loop a piece of the OEM hose over them, and zip tie.

The item circled in blue, which connected to the check valve, THAT is what I have capped in addition to the connections on the TB.
The item that is capped off keeps cracking since it is directly on the Intake Manifold.

The one circled in blue is for EVAP not EGR. I haven't problems with the regular caps from Oreillys on that..

You know years ago I used some off the shelf autoparts store vacuum caps to block off the nipple on my IM bc at the time was running a VTA catch can. The caps would crack in short order. At some point I found some high temp silicone ones online somewhere, even recall them sending me samples which was funny bc all I needed was one anyway. You should be able to find some on Mcmaaster Carr as well.
In your case looping on the TB should be fine.

Why is the cap being rated to 400 degrees for 20 minutes a problem? I hope your engine bay isn't reaching 400 degrees lol. Practically any vacuum caps will work, although I did the same thing a few others mentioned in this thread and just looped the lines. Been running this way for years with no issues.
