Wheel bearing options
Ok so being I just got my car off the dyno last weekend and made a few highway passes I get home and I noticed kind of a grinding noise. This worries me being this will be expensive and I honestly don't have the cash to do this. Long story short did a wheel bearing test, I have side to side of course until the wheel locked. The up and down I did feel on the pass side, but the second time I did the test after going to the drivers side is not there. The noise I am hearing kinda sounds like road noise or something similar but I have had these pilot sports on the car over a year and I never noticed it. So with all that said I would rather be safe then sorry being I plan on racing at the shootout this year. What are a good options for hub assemblys? Oem at the moment I can find from 360 for 1 all the way to 450 for 1. That is a little out of my price range at the moment. Are there any good options I can look at. I looked in past threads but all that is before the covid era and prices were so much cheaper back then. Any advice?

I am worried about high heat. I know my car will trap 150 plus and I worry about kiling them after the shootout. I have a buddy that said Mevotech are really good too. He uses those on all his cars when his stuff goes bad. I will have to look at the TRQ ones. I just wanna get some opinions from people like yourself who have used the products ya know. Thanks for the response brotha.

I said cheap options lol. Even if I had 2100 dollars for hubs and bearings id go cryo treating them over ceramic. Specially since I can't drive the ceramic in wet conditions or at least i was told.

i had this debate when i was doing the uprights as far as which bearings to get. figured if these last the remaining life of the car then it's worth it, especially including the hassle of doing this more than once.
otherwise its just a few nuts and bolts you have to turn every so often anyway so they dont get stuck

Oh I hear you on that it's a pita for sure but yeah I need to go a little cheaper.
the ones that came off the car had about 50k miles on them i believe, zero issues. like i mentioned, couldnt tell that i put on the ceramics.
