For EVOM Newbie / FAQs Forum

The vendors pay for the forum to stay up. By us hammering newbies, that's turning potential sales away from our vendors. Which in long term can hinder us from better prices, of course there are many other factors involved with better prices; competition, groups buys and such.... Plus I hate seeing potential EVOm members leave the forums completely with a bad feeling.

I think it would benefit everyone if the "EVOM Newbie / FAQS Forum" allowed exactly what it says FAQs Frequently Asked Questions especially from newbies without anyone hammering down on them. If they ask a FAQ in another forum without searching...I can totally understand the 50 members reminding them to do a search.

I have never been told to do a search, yes I do search pretty thoroughly, however, I am familiar with online forums, but not all newbies are. And sometimes, even with searching, it's hard to find your answers. You can end up reading pages and pages of useless info.

I may be right or wrong for suggesting this, but it's the Mods that will make the right decision, whatever it may be, for the better of EVOm.

Most of the moderators don't have powers in the newbie/faq area. Actually only 6 people should have powers in that area (unless some have powers that aren't listed) and those 6 people have the most workload of all the moderators. This is because it's SuperMods and Admins only.

This forum has always relied on the support of the community to help the moderators, by using the report this post button (conviently located under the 'online/offline' and next to the instant message links) with a detailed description of the problem should take care of a lot of the issues.
