Why knockoff Vendors

Why is evolutionm.net letting vendors sell knockoff items?

I'm guessing because those knock off vendors pay for their spot like all other vendors, but thats just my assumption. Who knows I maybe wrong.

As long as they don't claim the product is the actual product then I don't see the big deal. For example: Selling the ebay "AMS intercooler" and calling it the real AMS intercooler would be an issue. But someone selling a carbon fiber lip as a "do luck replica" or "varis replica" is okay with me. As long as they state that it's not the real deal.

EvolutionM.net does not control what individual vendors sell, that's their business (get it ). If there is an issue with a transaction, we have our Service and Parts review for that.

As far as what you're getting when you buy, well I guess I'd say do some research and talk to others that have bought from a vendor and/or bought the item you're looking for. AFAIK, vendors should honestly list what they're selling, or they probably won't be in business long. That's just my opinion, of course. If you have a specific issue or concern, I'd be glad to read your PM about it.

Honestly, you very well know what vendors here are selling knockoff items.

i have no issue, I would think that evolutionm.net would have an issue with it.

would you guys let vendors sell knockoff Rolex watches, I think its the same principle, don't you?

Didn't you just read what the mod wrote above your post your analogy is flawed because who is selling a "knock off" anything. Companies like rexpeed are making replica pieces under thier own company name....its not a "knock off" claiming to be something else.

there's an obvious need for some of the knockoffs, that people are happy about.

ie: ralliart lips, which are no longer available - and are ridiculously expensive if you can find one.

rexpeed and another vendor sell high quality "knockoffs" as a service to the community, and are much appreciated by most of us.

Maybe you can give an example of what you're referring to?

If they say that they're selling knockoff whatever and not misrepresenting what they sell, I guess I'm not seeing the issue. You could pay 20k for a rolex or $100 for a look-alike, guess it depends what you want.

isn't it just wrong, especially after all the money the original company paid to make the item, and then you find copies of the same item.

I remember when rexpeed for instance was selling the ralliart mirrors with the ralliart logo on them, you guys remember that?

is it wrong?

what do you think?

im just curious why evolutionm.net condoles this

When I say I have no idea what you're talking about, I mean just that: I don't own an Evo or Lancer and I've not done business with vendors here. Now, if you're accusing somebody of copyright infringement or straight piracy of an idea/concept/product, you'd best have proof to back that up: not "he said" or "everybody knows blah blah". PROOF.

I'd suggest the owner of the patent or intellectual property take that up with their attorney. I don't hear an injured party hear complaining, and you've clearly said you don't have an issue. So why are we discussing this again?

It's the truth. Look at my post history, profile, etc. Ask around, ask vendors; I've got nothing to hide. Now shall we get back on topic and address my concerns about this thread and the issues?
