long time member, still can't reply/post in sale forums

i have been a member since 2009, however, i don't post much at all. i would like to respond to sellers threads and also maybe sell some new parts i have. however, unless i am missing something, i cannot do this because it looks like i must reach 50 posts first.

so, my question is, how productive is it for me to post 50 random posts to get to that point? I can do that, and flood threads with meaningless jabber, but why not just let me post?

I am hoping someone can intervene and help me out. Otherwise, get ready for some meaningless topics with "ttt" hourly and replies like "use the search function".

Any help?

Thanks!

I have the same problem I just pm to buy stuff and eBay stuff to sell lol

I think the idea is you give to the forum if you want to take from the forum. Give = useful posts, take=free sellers listings.

We have to play by the rules to make sure it isn't easy for people to scam other members, I'm sure you understand.

Try eBay?

Same here. I think it should be 50 posts or a certain amount of time as a member. I know the DSM forums has either 50 posts or 2 months as a member to access their f/s forums.

the two months is a good idea

how about you post 50 not random but helpful replies to threads. it's really not that hard. you literally could have posted one meaningful and useful reply every week and a half since you registered and would have your 50 by now. and even if you were allowed to post in the sale forum good luck getting somebody to buy/sell something from/to you. I sure as hell wouldnt do business with the guy who could only make 6 posts in 2 years. try ebay, or craigslist

The 50 post requirement ended in January. It's 15 posts and 15 days now. Check out section 6 in our rules:

That's what I thought which confused me when I read this thread.

To the op: I think it's foolish that you're threatening to add useless content to the forum and asking that someone intervene and give you special permission or else. It's kind of insulting to all of us who actually contribute to the forums and not just leech off of it.

I think 50 posts was good enough so that spammers could easily be caught when trying to just sell things.

I think it's foolish that I have been looking at advertising on this site for two years and even clicked through to ads making this site money, yet I cannot post a question to someone selling something.

regarding the 15/15 rule, that's great, but that applies to new users correct?

on the plus side, this thread is getting my post counts up! i feel some single character replies in my future....

Looking through the ads has nothing to do with your contribution to the community within Evom. That community is who you are doing business with when you post in the private marketplace, and in order to add to the security of all users in that area, we ask you to simply make 15 thoughtful posts that add to the value of the community. What you're talking about, and what you tried to do here, is called post whoring, and it will get your posts deleted and you will receive an infraction if it continues. Also, in case you haven't noticed, certain sections do not count towards your relevant post count, this being one of them.
