Lol, I just got the notification this morning...so it had to have taken effect overnight, I was on here til midnight last night and had not seen it...I think it's pretty cool.

Srsly? I lost roughly the same amount of points in one day, that I now have total (no infraction points, unless custom by staff) :confused:

And why, on the 1st thread I checked today, there's a guy with a .3% daily activity rate, 3 posts total since 2007.. but has 4x the points, and sits at double the level I've reached?

Read through all the tabs and sub-tabs at the experience section, and ya.. I think I must be missing something.

Personally, I rarely ever start threads and try to limit anything I say in other threads to content I feel is either helpful, occasionally light-hearted or a question I have of my own about the topic.

I try my hardest to be a productive member of the community.. but dammit, now I just wanna win {thumbup}

My personal account is level 100 but my vendor account is only 34. Can I get a points transfer? :lol:

It actually looks like you can transfer points. If you sign into your personal account, you can 'Give Away Points' to your vendor profile.

As if I didn't spend enough time on the forum, and seeing as I am an Achievement junkie I will have to get them all good and bad.

From what I've seen it actually gives very little reward simply for posting. You receive a lot more points for creating threads that are heavily used and referenced and using the other features of the site (grounds, albums, garage, etc)

The majority of my points are from creating heavily referenced threads and for providing detailed replies.

Yeah, if you can access your old account (I think you said you cant), you can "give" your points to your new account.

But even when I transferred all it would let me, my old account still has points and my new account doesn't have all the points that my old account did (old account was level 100, after transferring all the points I could, new account is only 93)

I think this will be an interesting departure from the normal Forum stuff, and if it helps get people to use the features that are often over looked it might well be worth it. Now if I can just figure out how I gained and then lost so many points in less than a week and haven't even been on here! LOL I look forward to using this once I get back to the states.

Awe man, I want a cool little symbol next to my name! Now I have to figure out how to do that.

It sucks because I'm a whore for experience points on XBox 360 (over 100k), so I'm not too sure what I'm going to do with this yet. Seems like a very inventive way of getting the community to post more important stuff.

I was looking through my points and I don't believe it gave me credit for a post that turned in to a sticky in the How-to thread. Not really a big deal, was just curious.

I think as the admins were tweaking the settings in the background, it was cascading out to all the users and skewing the point values.

So say a post went from being worth .25 to .1, your points would get adjusted accordingly. If they also do something in that same instant that also would give you points, like say, adding a picture to your album being worth more points, you would gain points once those changes took affect.

I'm making an assumption, of course.

Personally, I would like to opt out of this. I have on the site since July of 2011 and have 266 points and am at Level 5, while another guy I just posted under has one post and has 1,678 points and is at Level 23. How does that work? Is there any way that I can have this achievement stuff removed from my profile?

Gifted 10 points, and requested as friend.. maybe I'll get points for that?

If ur gonna do this, i suggest u make it so every level u get a new rank name, Like ur top guys are commandents... Each level up should have a new title and new avatar thingy next to ur name... make it comical for the junior guys, or f it, make the whole thing comical

How can I remove the stupid color bars from under my name? Also I should be able to opt out of this too. I thought I got a private message and i opened it and there was this stupid facebook like crap points earned, last word etc. Really??

I'm sorry but there is no way to individually opt out. We had hope to have that feature for Evom, however, the software changes implementing it created errors and display problems. Thanks!

We are reading all the comments and suggestions. There is flexibilty to adjust rewards and how points are earned (or removed) and will try to accommodate the wishes of the community. I'm not sure about titles, but we can look at it. Thanks to all for their feedback. {thumbup}
