RobertRinAustin in the 11's!!!!
Hey, Robert, I'm curious if you are happy with this time and mph. Were there any factors holding you back like heat or humidity? I'm also not sure about the altitude there, but I assume that SA is fairly low-lying.
Your launch isn't bad at all, but your 1/8th was identical to mine: 7.67 @ 90.x. You outran me by 4mph in the back 1/8th and a tenth of a second, though, so I am curious as to how well this prototype spools.
Is the hope that it will make more power than the stock turbo eventually? Looks like you're making a solid 380-390whp (Dynojet) right now.

I picked up over half a second and 9 mph by switching to this turbo and 280 cams with worse launches (everything else the same except the tune of course). The turbo spools slower than stock, but not by much, about 400 rpm.
My trouble is my launches with the ACT and new BFG KDWs. I ran high 1.6s to 1.70 consistently on the stock clutch, but struggle to equal that with the ACT and about 70 more whp. My best 60 ft is 1.66 and I've done it only once with the ACT, but many times with the stock clutch. With the current tune and boost, I think I can hit an 11.7 with a good launch. I granny shift the car, as most can tell you and I don't really want to try speed shifting, but I am sure I could pick up a few tenths doing that and run close to 11.5.
In the next month or so, I'll have an upgraded WG actuator spring put in and push the boost up to 30 psi and see what happens. This turbo should be much more effecient at 30 psi than the stock turbo and will hold boost better as well. With my launches and granny shifts, I'm hoping to break 11.5. With more agressive shifts and better launches, who knows.
Forgot to add that I'll also put in the Alky kit in the next month or so and run 26 psi all the time.

If you're granny shifting, then you're one helluva granny shifter, haha. I can show you 3 guys who are stuck at 12.0 while hitting the same trap speeds as you, and they aren't holding back whatsoever, but your 60' was better, as they are also spinning. The difference with us is that when we spin, we get mid 1.8s, but you managed a 1.72, which I'll take all day long on a spin. In fact, I go as low as 1.92 60's when I rip all 4 through first gear. Anyway, I agree that your current trap speed is capable of getting you an 11.7 with a 1.6x 60' and fast shifting. I don't believe an 11.5 is possible until you make another 20-30whp. I think going with the stiff WGA and trying to run 30psi will give you a chance at this extra HP and thus 11.5s. You're damn right that turbo can probably maintain 30psi more effectively than the stock turbo, since the stock turbo can't even really push 30psi, hah. I see some people claim to hit 30 here and there, but it's not meant for that by any means. If you make sustainable power at 30psi, you will leave the stock turbo in the dust.
As for me, yeah no cams and on a mix of 110 leaded and 93 unleaded. I've never used C16...not sure if that would make anymore power or not. The 110 doesn't seem to do much over 104 anyway. FWIW, I run about 24psi with the S-AFC leaned out when on race gas.
