I just had my day made by one of my neighbors who live in my neighborhood. Apparently my driving has upset him.

On my way back from the gym today I went home a different way than normal. The way I went took me past this guys house. My EVO has a full exhaust and is loud. Doing 20mph in it sounds like 50 in other cars. plus it is a freaking EVO so obviously the driver can't be up to anything good.

Anyway, I make a point of driving at least 5mph under the speed limit inside my neighborhood because there are a ton of kids here and the last thing I need is one of them getting stuck in a wheel well. Well apparently 5mph under is not slow enough for this guy. Making matters worse I didn't slow down going around a corner (I could clearly see what was on the otherside, ie it wasn't blind) so felt no reason to slow down. And of course, I dropped in to 1st, just to put a cherry on top of it all.

The guy was apparently so ticked at me he hops in his car and tracks me down.

And wouldn't you know it, I need milk. Guess I'll have to go to the Kroger now.

Damn, I'm sooo freaking immature.

 

So what did he do when he tracked you down?

I've had people run (yes, run) after me in my Focus RS whilst yelling at me to slow down, when I was 5 under the limit. Never had it in the Evo, although the stock Evo is somewhat quieter.

and people wonder why they get shot.....i hate people who try to take the law in their own hands. i would drive by at a coast doing about 20 mph and run about 5000 rpms.

people like this just make it easier for me to be a d!ck and do stuff like that. if they would just keep there mouth shut, it would be alot less painful for them. i make them wish they would never had said anything to me.

 

My problem is that I listen to the RMS show too much. Being an A$$hole can be really fun. Generally speaking I'm a pretty easy going guy. However, I have a twisted sense of humor and cause some guy to get worked up over something he has know knowledge about is right up my alley.

What really cracks me up is my EVO will stop from 40 in less distance than his pickup would stop from 20. I also spend a lot of time autocrossing (so I know how to control the car), I alway look ahead watching out for unexpected stuff and intentionally drive a bit slower inside the neighborhood. I have no control over other people's reactions. If they make the choice to be upset, it would be rude of me not to at least take some pleasure from it.

or atleast give them something to be upset about. you should have a meet at your house and make sure everyone goes by his house while leaving. of cours they'd all have to roll around your hood in 1st or 2nd.

had a guy do that to me today, in a parking lot. honked at me, i was doing like 10. i looked at him and shrugged.

i get yelled at all the time to slow down. one time i stopped and reversed. got out, the guy yelled at me about how the speed limit was 25! i asked him how fast i was going, he said way too fast. i said, i was going 20, so shut up and quit being a punk!

 

my 4 d cell maglite is always handy to take care of people like that! i need a 6 d cell to use it as a bat.

 

where are you located, me and mr. slappy will join ya in your cruise through the neighborhood.

 

 

I think I will have to have a BBQ around new years. Perhaps we can screen the drift bible and go for a drive.....
