Long absense about to get longer

I used to frequent this place but a year ago I developed a serious illness - motorcycles. sense then I've been screwing around learning to ride and not hanging out here.

It gets worse - I'm preparing to trade the EVO for a freaking pickup. why? so I can toe a trailer with a bike to the race track. This summer I plan to attend California superbike school to learn how to really ride well and then I'll start playing around at MSR.

Anyway, I hate to see my EVO go. it has been a wonderful ride. As I told Kevin - I'm not really leaving the community, just changing drugs.

I have the following to sell
Ksport coil-overs w extra pair of 400lbs springs
OEM wheels w/ tires (1 pair is ok, 1 pair needs to be replaced)
3" Test pipe
Camber plates

I have one person who may be interested in the coilovers. I'll know tomorrow.

I live in flower mound. Right now I have a Kawasaki Ex500. I've had it for a year now and have learned to ride ok on it. After CSS I'm either getting a ZX6 or a ZX10. I'm leaning heavily toward the ZX10 even though it is completely impractical. but who can resist something so freaking sexy?

Thanks for the info, that school seems like a real good thing. So are you going to use one of their bikes or take your own out there? I'm thinking about signing up also, but I couldn't find the answer to one question. I see there is a 750 deposit for the use of thier bike, but if I wreck it bad will I owe them more? Thats not something I would anticipate doing, but you never know...

no - you drop it you are out up to $750. You are basically covering their insurance deductible. if you bend the handlebars and do $20 of damage you pay it. If you total the bike then you are out all $750.

and yes - I'm renting their bike for the level 1 and 2 classes. I'm looking at it as the ultimate test ride before I make a decision. both bikes (zx6 and zx10) are awesome so this will help me decide.

if i do level 3 & 4 I'll take my own bike - they recommend it b/c they'll help you tune the bike to fit you better.

oh - if you are going to sign up go to Mid-Ohio in August. That is where I'm going.

I originally wanted to go to Barber b/c it is closer. It is also a beautiful track. However, according to some of their past students Mid-Ohio is one of CSS's best classrooms. so I'll do the basics there and catch them at Barber next time around.
