Nope, no slam. 150-200 extra HP makes you way faster!

I did hit 104.8 on the straight yesterday in session 4 and the 99.9 on the following straight. So a good line = good speed.

Ok, thats about what I was thinking. I figure going CW I could probably hit about 110-115 on a good lap and CCW maybe 125-130 if I swap out off of street tires.

At the single day event going CCW, I was really happy with the power delivery on my new set up and I was hitting 120mph on the front straight before braking, but I really wasn't pushing the car all that hard on that day since it was my first time at the track in 2 years. But it is significantly faster than before.

Now I'm really kind of wishing that Kevin and I had gone out to "inspect" the track on Sunday morning before the first session, but I wimped out. Maybe next event!

I'm waiting (not so patiently)

Here's the view in a Viper from yesterday:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXZty...eature=channel

And the same Viper a couple weeks ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lVS_...eature=channel

Pretty impressive what 4x the engine size and 2x the HP will get you. Maybe slicks help too. But it's only 11 seconds or so faster than me

ETA: watching the second video a bit closer just makes me want to go out again really bad. He's faster in the straights (dur), but I really am NOT that much slower in the turns (maybe 3-7mph), which makes me think that maybe I'm braking TOO much!? I know, looking back, that I was a bit too tentative in most of the turns.

Argh!

Thanks for the pictures Amber! Its nice to have the far away perspective. Hart takes good pictures but they are so close and there's no sense of motion.
