So i have been thinking of purchasing a Evo 9 for sometime. I have grown tired of my Is300 with the gte swap. Ive been into Toyotas for sometime. So to get to the point what are somethings to check for?? As far as clutch, tranny, transfer case, ect...the problem areas. I have found one with 80k on it but iam really unsure. I mean really unsure!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Its at a Don Herring in Irving. Found it on Autotrader. Has JDM rear bumper, from what i can tell a mostly stock engine bay with stock airbox. Radiator hoses looked to be samco by the pics. Couldnt tell if the bolts had been removed from the manifold gonna take a look at it this week. What i really like about it is that it has Leather Recaros and stock exhaust and box. Kinda rare if its true.

 

there is plenty of people who have over 110k miles and a cpl of guys with over 160k miles and one with 220k miles, so miles is not an issue, but maintnance is
