but HIN is going to be in Ausin this year, and while I never would have driven hours to go in previous years, I wouldn't mind driving ten minutes to see some eye candy. Anybody else thinking about checking it out? And do you think that austin is going to be swarmed w/ "import tuner's" that weekend?

Sure wish I knew what happened to the car scene in Austin. Maybe its just the EVO community. Its a shame.

Anyways...if it means anything, I'm considering going. I went to HIN in Dallas a couple of years ago and loved it. As you said, eye candy everywhere.

I'll be there, by the way Xfer I just ordered an ACT sprung 6puck clutch, so I should be operational in the next couple of weeks. Would have been nice to keep the RPS but they jumped the rebuild price up to 1000, and it is to much a PITA to take out, send to Cali and get back, so we'll see how this act works out.

if you want to go, leave your evo at home. these kind of gatherings tend to attract the...ruffians of society...

i've heard things get stolen from cars in parking lots, with modified cars all over the parking lots with their owners away from them, it's like easy pickings

When is it going down...I wouldn't mind meeting up with a group of people and riding out there.

Be careful where you park your cars, I had a 86 Corolla GTS Hatch back in college and I went to HIN and parked it in the wrong spot.

Came out of HIN and my Panda was gone! Found it two weeks later stripped of all parts..... (T_T) Including my Kouki tailights....

Park in the parking garage or in a very very lighted and safe place!

Wow...never had a problem before at carshows here in ATX...but most are during the day. Might leave my IX at home seeing this event is at night.{thumbup}

i've never been to one of these, a friend says vendors are there to sell, is that right? i don't want to pay $30 to walk around and see funny paint jobs...

it wasn't worth it, they didn't even use the inside of the expo center, it was a lot smaller than I expected.

I took the FE on saturday instead. Sounds like HIN might have been worse...
