Evostacio's JMS racing 2.0 build review

Well guys its finally done my JMS racing 2.0 build.

Well ive known the guys at jms since back in the garage days and well back in october my evo decided to drown in a storm that was harsh. So i decided to build it to a 2.0.

Well i dropped the car off to them they made calls for me and dealt with all the paper work all i had to deal with was them calling me telling me what the next step was which i had alot of school so was glad they took care of all that for me.

So late October the money was all together and the build and parts began from there the machine shop took it and returned it in a timely manner. they called me told me "hey your block is back" i was excited but was like just call me when its all done i trust you guys. Then November 29th comes around and i get a call "hey your evos done and ready for pick up" i was extremely happy but since i had to much finals and stuff it took me a week to go get it.

Well i drove it around with them calling me every single day asking me to check oil and making sure it was running good.

Well i drove it around putting miles into it until i was comfortable with the break in and called jorge up like "hey can you fit me in today?" he was like yes lets make some power. Turns out he was having another evo on the dyno that day and the fuel pump was having issues and i said "its cool fix that evo man Im excited to see what that guy makes dont worry about me" i believe that red evo is making 524 now.
But anyways my turn comes around 11pm and we are getting it ready and after fixing little bugs that popped up like my cuppler popping off and my stupid intake sucking at life we got the power i was happy with for now until i get more parts.. overall my experience was fantastic the guys handled all my issues and went above and beyond to get me on the road in a timely matter.. have any questions let me know ill be happy to answer them for you..

this is my jms 2.0 build on fp black on 34psi

need to get new intake mine sucks
65mm throttle body
fp 25psi actuator
and maybe a spark tech and we will go back for some more power..

Very nice. I need to get back over to JMS for a tune whenever I get some money together.

Hey, my friend. First off, I know you are glad that things are all finished. Looking great!

I met you the same time I dropped my old TB EVO8 at the shop. You took me for a spin to show me how the stock IX turbo on E85 felt on one of those back roads. I was impressed.

I am glad to see that your build is finished and yes, I do have some questions. I have been battling back and forth about whether or not to buy an already built engine and have it sent or just have Jorge and the team build the engine in-house. I need more peace of mind and not looking for anything too extreme.

1. Are you set at 34PSI for daily driving?

2. Do you remember how much it cost to get the built 2.0L done? *** Feel free to send this via PM if you prefer. ***

Heyyyyyy what's up man long time no see.

I let Jms handle all building in house.

Hell yeah it's set for 34 psi daily driving

Pricing would probably vary would have to talk to them broski

I am glad that you remember me, my friend. That must be a great EVO to drive now. I will send Jorge and email to see what can be done as it is so very difficult for me to trust shops in Arizona with my hard earned deployment money. :usflag:

On the outside = same looking car
On the inside = same looking car
In the engine bay = not the same car
Equals more kills from the unexpected.

I am a good friend with the owner of Wingz Performance here in Arizona. They build COP set ups for the 8/9 at a fraction of the cost of Spark Tech. Send me your email via PM and I will send you some pictures of mine. {thumbup}
