Scooter, finished the 'Ring last night around 4am. 196 laps in 24 hours! My roommate and I probably did 20% each and let B-spec run during the day. I pulled off a 6:12:XX and thought I was hot ****ing shlt until I went out to dinner and came back to see that Bubbles, my b-spec driver, ran a 6:04:XX, ****in' flying!

 

For the endurance races B-spec is the way to go. I just don't have 24 Hrs to sit and run a race. How did you get the car to pit and replace tires while you were out??

Bubbles??? Did I miss the part where you name your B-spec driver or is that you embellishing??

 

The b-spec driver comes in when his tires are shot, but at the 'Ring this becomes a challange, because he'll come around start-finish and his tires aren't dead yet, but about halfway into the next lap, they're full red and he's sliding off-course everywhere. So I have to spend about an hour pushing him on 5 to get a nice lead and pitting every 2 laps, once I got a nice lead I tested out his laptimes on the other speeds, I found out that on Level 1, he was 4-seconds a lap quicker than the next fastest guy and that it was easy enough that he could go 3 laps with good tire life.
When I came home from work last night, my roommate had left him on Level 3, and Bubbles had managed to fall to 4th place and a lap behind the leader. So I had to spend about 2 hours both playing and coaching him back into the lead, and then put him back on Level 1.

 

Naming him is the best thing you can do. We seem to find great enjoyment by rooting him on by his name, or walking into the house and finding him losing and going "god dammit Bubbles, what the **** are you doing!?!?!?!?!"

I named him Bubbles after the Trailer Park Boys character because when he's driving, it's because he's been left home with the cats. If you've watched Trailer Park Boys, you'd understand.
