ALABAMA.. who is all here?
Went to Bama tonight,
Best of a 7.8 @ 96 mph. 1.9 60' IIRC. it's the only timeslip I can't find :-/
on that pass I ran some truck with slicks and a big lumpy motor... not sure what else was done but I whipped the crap out of him, he ran something in the low 8's IIRC. The guy at the slip shack said "That dude was just shaking his head, said he wasn't expecting THAT to happen from a street car"
I ran another 7.9, but only at 90 as I'm still having problems with my trans locking me out of 2nd. I'm gonna get a set of solid shifter bushings and see if that will help things out.. that was a 1.706 60', which I had several runs in the 1.7-1.8 range. Not bad for some ****ty no name 255-35-18's
hoping to get deeper in the 7's once I get this trans problem figured out. Good times though

You might try this with yours, it worked for me:
I found that limiting the rpm going into second to well before redline (limiter is 8500, I would hit the clutch around 7200-7300 to go into 2nd) would allow it to go into 2nd, and after that everything was gravy. Unfortunately I found this out on my last pass of the night, I was so overjoyed that it went into 2nd that I short shifted 3rd and 4th and ended up with an average trap and ET.
Then on the way home in the cold weather it would blow the tires off in 2nd, spin in 3rd and spin a bit in 4th.
Now if I could only drive it worth a damn at the track
went and double checked to make sure I wasn't blowing smoke, run was

7.71 1/8th @ 91mph (which was about 3mph slower than my average with it not going into 2nd but running the gears out past 8)
11.8 @ 119mph 1/4.
it is somewhat frustrating that I blew down an 11.6 back in may on a damn 100 degree day, and the car feels WAYY faster now than it did then, the track was hooking really good that day but I'm not suffering any lack of 60' and I don't remember it spinning past that point friday, so I have to assume that I'm not doing something right, the car runs side by side from a roll with a supra that trapped 126 (and I stole his lunch money from a 2nd gear kick).
I just suck at the evo. :-( I also need a transmission rebuild in a bad way.

Yeah, if its not Transmission problems, its the transfercase. I'm really looking forward to being in the 11sec club once I get my transfercase back, but hey who knows whats gonna happen. I just need to learn how to drive once I get the car back
