Not to flame, but you could check out the regional forums. I'm in Texas, so all I can say is, "They're that way"

Nah, I didn't mean you posted in the wrong section, just that you might have better luck in the regional forums.
I know exactly what you mean about how this can become confusing. It took me about 3 months to figure out my way all the way around it. I didn't spend hours a day on it like I do now though.

Welcome to the Triangle area! We have a great Evo community here that meets on a regular basis. Check the regional forum for the get-to-together we are having this Saturday.

And to answer your question: The best and closest 1/4 mile track is in Fayetteville (about an hour away). They are open for "test and tune" on Thursday nights and Sunday nights. Send me a PM if you plan on going and I may tag along with you. I have some new mods that I want to try out.

I see you drive a 70 Chevelle...I am assuming you have an Evo too?

What's sad about it? The line is great, and it directly pertains to you.

nah, im just really interested in getting an evo, me and my dad built a 1970 chevelle ss and i just got my permit in nc, but im in ny right now for a few weeks. im not sure if i have to be a licenced driver to race at the track. even though im more experianced then most people and probly safer driver, more rules aply to me then the rest. im trying to find a nice used evo 8 for a nice drive to the track car. but let me tell u a used evo is very hard to find for a decent price

but im pretty determined to get one, so ill see what happends...

so this fayettville place, how are the track conditons? and whats the cost? thanx

-Vin

It is $16 to race and you can run as many times as you wish. The track conditions are the best in the area. It runs best cold so now is the best time to be there.
