Mitsubishi's Take on the Dragon (MTOD)
 

Hey guy i was wondering if anyone from the EvoM community had heard about this and had any plans on making it out. I was entertaining the thought of heading out for the weekend. Ive driven on the Tail of theDragon (US 129) and it is a blast. Its a little heavily patroled by the THP but still is fun nontheless. Its supposed to be on Memorial Day weekend so there will be a ton of people out there and some other very nice cars (weather permitting). For more info go to

Crazy road been there with my bike back in the day's it's no joke!

I grew up driving roads like that in the sticks of Virginia... to bad I didn't have an evo then...

yeah even at the posted 30 mph speed limit it can be challenging, but still lots of fun.

Make sure your tires and brakes are yo to task. It's a fun road for sure!

My parents live about 45minutes on the other side of the Dragon. i drove down it heading home last time i was out visiting them and it was a blast. been through a bunch of times and had more fun in my Evo than i did in a C5 vette. i'd be up for another trip out.

I would be up a for a trip out there too. Saw the MTOD meet a few weeks ago but only thought DSM's where going. Be nice to have a group of EVO's.

not too sure yet. im waiting on my work to let me know what our schedule is going to be for the holiday weekend. ideally leave out would be saturday morning around 8-9am. i'll see if i can lock down my time off

darkside, have you confirmed your schedule yet? Are you still looking to head out Sat morning?

At any rate, there will be a large group of Mitsu's hitting up the Dragon on Sunday. You guys are definitely welcome to come out for any/all the meet and we still have a few dyno spots left as well. :mitsu:

I just came back from there. May 7th-may 11th.
We were in happy vally road, which is pretty much on us 129. It was an absolute blast!

It freaks you out when you see a sign that has a Sharp 90degree turn to the right with a speed limit of 50mph lol I'll be going every year from now on :) I felt like a little kid and did things with my car that I didn't know was possible!

I really really want to go with the Mitsubishi crew next year tho :)

This meet is for ALL Mitsu's(especially EVO's). There is a smaller group going to be there on Saturday, but most will be going on Sunday.
