New Or Updated Version Parts Thread

I think it would be better to have a thread where we can post new found parts for our cars, instead of creating a new thread each time. I think i've started 3 new parts threads in one week, so it makes sense to me.

Brian Crower Stroker Kit

http://www.racecreations.com/brian_c.../i-259606.aspx

It says Evo X on the site but it will fit lancers and RalliArts, and you can custom order any compression ratio you want. When you are ordering your brian crower stroker kits, you'll have to look under the EVO X application and you'll have to tell them what CR (Compression ratio) you would like, it'll take 2-3 weeks for the custom pistons to be made. This will build up your bottom end. the economy kit is good for 500hp, the premium kit is good for 700hp+... you have to remember, this kit was designed for boost in mind!

Here are some specs: STROKER KITS
The 4B11T stroker kit from Brian Crower features:
• BC 4340 billet steel crankshaft (98mm stroke).
• Choice of 4340 steel billet connecting rods w/ARP fasteners.
• CP aluminum forged pistons (any bore size, any compression ratio).
• High strength steel alloy wrist pins for added longevity and reduced flex.
• Ductile iron plasma top rings, tapered second ring, low tension oil rings.
• Fully system balanced and ready to install.
• ACL Race Series rod and main bearings sold separately.
The BC stroker kit for the Mitsubishi 4B11T engine platform incorporates
a 98mm stroke crank. Depending on bore size that you decide,
the BC kit will take you up to a 2.5L with a sleeved 90mm bore. The kit
utilizes premium steel billet connecting rods in your choice of fastener
(ARP2000 or Custom Age 625+ for severe-duty). As usual, each BC kit
features custom CP pistons, steel alloy wrist pins, full ring pack and locks

Stock Specifications:
4B11 86mm Bore x 86mm Stroke - 9.055" Block Height
BC Stroker Specifications:
2.5L 90mm Bore x 98mm Stroke (choice of bore/compression, 90mm bore w/Darton sleeves)

They also sell the Darton sleeves for this application.

what benefits would that stroker kit offer if used prior to getting a turbo kit?

its just as expensive as a turbo so i doubt anyone can buy both .. install + tune will = over 10k

install isn't that bad... I could take care of you on that... tune would be around $500 for a good one.

benefits of a stroker kit = low end torque and ability to spool larger turbos quick times.

The main thing with this is... if your already looking at replacing your pistions and rods for boost, maybe spend a bit more money and go with the stroker kit.

depending on the specs you ordered the kit with you might be able to get some displacement out of it. I know they do 2.3 stroker kits for the 4g63 so if you were n/t then you might see some hp gains and definitely torque gains.. but it wouldn't be anything huge really unless your pushing more 2.4 since the 4b12 block is 2.4 and we know what power that makes.
