2011 Lancers!

I just read this on another lancer form.
Update 2011 Lancers!!!!!
So if you have read my other posts, the lancer is losing the GTS Model and the 2.4L Engine and reviving the GT Model

Heres the Letter from Mitsu Canada

Mitsubishi Motor Sales Of Canada is pleased to announce the 2011 Model Year Lancer.

For 2011MY the DE 5MT model has received an MSRP Reduction of $1,000, For a new starting price of 15,998. The CVT Model is now the addition of the transmission only, resulting in an MSRP of 17,198.

The Lancer SE model sees its pricing revised as well, with a starting point @ 19,398. A New Sun and Spoiler Package replaces last years Sun and Sound Package, featuring, Logically, a power sunroof and rear Spoiler. A notable addition to the SE this year is the inclusion of the all-new Bluetooth 2.0+USB
This System allows for Wireless connectivity to bluetooth-equipped audio devices as well as voice commands. Of course this system will continue to allow the driver to make/recieve phone calls via a bluetooth equipped cell. MMSCAN is please to announce this feature as a standard on all models except DE.

Other big news is the return of the the GT Model with an MSRP of 23,898. The GT Model builds upon the version offered previousle, but now adds leather seats, FAST key, high contrast instrument cluster, auto climate control, chrome inner door handles, addition sound deadening. This features most of the equiptment previously offered on GTS WITH sun and sound.

The GTS Model has been discontinued.

Finally, the Ralliart model continues with a new base version, GTS Seats are now standard instead of RECARO Seats, Projection HID`s are removed and Lancer Halogens are standard. MSRP is 31,798. Navi system has been removed from the premium package.

:O

I hope that doesn't mean end of support for 2.4L aimed performance parts! Also glad I got my GTS when I did, I can't imagine driving around the new GT with a 2.0L engine Lancer which is going to cost as much as I paid for my GTS, lol.

I guarantee Mits Canada's RA sales are going to go WAY down with the 2011 model and on unless they really lower it or put Recaros and something like HIDs or something else in. Lower the MSRP around $1k and remove Recaros and HIDS Subaru is gonna love this alot. WRX sales are gonna be alot higher.

What I REALLY want from the new Mitsu's is their FUSE system that adds better bluetooth system, usb port, ipod interface, etc. I hope to God that you can upgrade 2008 EVO's to use that system. I really want an iPod interface.

I think they already started cost-cutting before the official 2011 model release. At one of the previous east-side meets it was mentioned that some people bought Ralliarts and without any notice... when they went to pick up their car found out it had "normal lancer seats" instead of the Recaro's they initially ordered the car with. Now that sucks big time.

Atleast for 2011 Mitsubishi is openly declaring the changes now.

Just get an aftermarket deck. Cheaper, better.

Is what I have, way better than any MMCS or FUSE or any other OEM system you can get in a car.

You're right... there are a lot of nice aftermarket radios out there... and the one you posted looks really nice too. I had a Pioneer head-unit in my old car... and loved the iPod interface... and the face that I could basically plug anything into the USB slot and play it.

The problem I have with EVO is... there are so many of the car's functions integrated into the MMCS... that I'm a bit worried about losing those functions with an aftermarket head-unit.

Which functions are tied into the MMCS? Can't be anything too critical, most stuff is on the little screen in the gauge cluster, no?

they took out the best parts on Ralliart and replaced them with crap. *tsk *tsk.
its now better to get an evo X than a Ralliart or just get the WRX.

Just saw the new STi and its looking real nice.

I drove the 2010 STi last week. It's too soft... and it looks like ***.

I will admit the Subie does have the following advantages:

- more torque at lower revs
- more cargo room because of the hatch back
- better quality interior

If anything... I think this move by Mitsu is to try and motivate more people to buy the EVO by creating a larger gap between the EVO and Ralliart.
