Reflash problems????

First some background...

Here is my chart after the Turbotrix reflash done last month....

I went to a local dyno today (Mustang Dyno) and here are my results...

I know that Mustang Dynos read lower but come on...these results are redicilous!!!

The Dark Blue and the Green are the HP/TQ on the Mustang Dyno BEFORE I got flashed by Turbotrix and the Light Blue and Red are the HP/TQ on the same Mustang Dyno AFTER I got the flash...

What is the deal with the 50whp plummet in torque, the leveling of torque and the huge dips??

NOTHING has changed since the visit to Turbotrix last month.

I lost 4hp and 40tq??

Rpms are at different ratio's....take a look at your old dyno and see how much of a drop in tq you'll get at 250-500 rpm'

could solve alot of your problem

edit

nevermind i cant read.....i didnt read before and after flash...sorry.

I have no idea what you mean.

How can you explain the weird level torque curve? How did I end up losing tons of power on the Mustang Dyno?

Is timing being pulled? According to my boost gauge, I was holding 21pst almost to redline

Pulling timing will not reduce your torque.. Think about it, when you come on peak torque is achieved at 3k, even if timing was pulled at 3k , by the time it would pull it , it would be after you made your peak torque. You would see it in the HP curve not the torque one. I dont know whats going on there, someone said somthing with rpms but our dyno reads what it reads. Why re-dyno on another dyno if you changed nothing ?

P.S. Its always good to redyno on the same dyno. If you baseline on one dyno , moving to a diff dyno all together you will get diff results. Ours and provens dyno reads a bit diff and they are the same model..

You were making 30 more ft lbs of torque over HP on your last dyno.... That is very odd to me considering evo's - a flash will never make more torque then HP unless there was a considerable boost spike.. I'd be happy to put your car back on our dyno for another test at no charge if you'd like ...

Thanks for the info. I had made a dyno run on the Mustang Dyno before I had visited your shop...It's the only dyno close to me... There was a dyno day today so I figured why not see how much of an improvement I made on the Mustang Dyno after I got your flash.

Obviously coming off the results I got at your shop, I was hoping to see a great improvement on the Mustang Dyno which I had dynoed before. The results were very strange as you can see in the graph. They did 3 pulls and they all looked like that.

Seeing how strange my results after the flash was, I decided to post them on here to get some insite.

On your chart, there is not a almost 50ft lb drop in torque like the Mustangs. Also, what is with the torque leveling off and not tapering on the Mustang's Chart? I've never seen something like that before. Also, I not sure what that dip in HP is on the Mustang Dynos chart either...it's not on yours. There was another EVO that was dynoed before me with the same dip in HP...just not as great

Hey..

the only thing i can suggest is bring it back and maybe there is something else going on with your car. You would notice a 50 ft lb drop, have you ? I remember you live far but lets setup a time and bring it back an we'll see what ours reads. Could have a boost leak or something. I remember your car and it made good power. Let me know wand we'll schedule you in..

Hey man,

Forget the numbers look at the chart. If the car was pulling timing the Power and TQ curve would have dips in it. That looks smooth. Also if you were pulling timing the A/F would go rich in that area. Can you post up a A/F chart???

Yea, I too was thinking that my ***-dyno would feel a 50ft lb drop...but I don't feel it....that's why I am wondering about the odd results..

I'll definitely give you guys a call and setup a time. Thanks!!

There are pretty large dips in the chart from the Mustang Dyno. Also, whats with that torque leveling? I don't have any A/F ratios from the Mustang Dyno

Any comments on my question on why the Mustang chart chows my torque level off?

I don' think I have seen it mentioned, but could the lines be a little different considering one chart is MPH and one is RPM?
