In my dealings with TT they have been very accomodating and willing to correct any issues that arise. Because of this I have chosen to go back to them for future tuning even though there is a closer tuner.

everyone is pretty much right.. we did a clutch on the kid's car (his father dropped it off).. we have been doing clutches on evo's since 2003 when they first came out.. either Paul or Luis could do one in an afternoon with no air tools.. the downpipe is removed to drop the trans but thats about it.. if somehow we hit the test pipe side of the exhaust so hard that it actually ripped an exhaust hanger clean off on the far end of the exhaust we would have easily welded it and notified the customer of what happened and that it had been corrected.. I personally lowered the car off the lift myself, and then drove it around the block, giving the keys to the customer's father.. if the hole is as big as you claim, I most likely would have noticed it.. honestly, I went through atleast 1st and 2nd gear cruising around the block.. it should have been audible. It may be possible that something hit the exhaust on the way home.. think about it.. it being such a quick and easy fix, WE would have never given a customers car back damaged by us. Also, who is it saying that we are a shady shop? would love to know...

the people at TT are good people, i been there a few time's and had no problems. it's fun just hanging out there.

i really dont think they did it, and if they did they would of fixed it, a five min weld job isnt worth this bs.

if i told my father take my car too TT for a clutch job, he would of looked at me laughed and walked away, LOL. you pops must be a cool guy.

I had MAJOR work done on my car there. While lowering the engine back in, the oil sender got snapped off. When I arrived, it was the first thing they told me. I gave them the information and they had a new one shipped to me.
Also, I have Samco blue silicone hoses on my car. Evdentially, a few did not get put back on. I didnt even notice it until I got a BRAND NEW SET shipped to me. I called Mike cuz I had no idea what was going on and he told me they found them and realized what had happened so they ordered NEW ONES and had them shipped to me. We are all human and we all make mistakes, but TT made sure I was a happy customer!! Not one scratch on my $8,000 paint job.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
TT would not screw you dude!!

It's actually spelled "infallible". I am sorry, I'm a stickler for grammar/spelling.

I have seen these guys take cars that are (sorry to say) grabage and get them going for what I consider owners who are tools.

Heres a list of crap that foolish people do all the time:

Dont try and save money by trying to install your crap and then bring it to a shop when its effed up

Dont blame the guy for misunderstanding what you wanted. Know what you want and ask for it. RESEARCH

Dont listen to "horror stories" remember the addage (one mans roof is another mans floor)
Everyone sees things differently remember that

and last cause Im ****in tired: ITS JUST A CAR it can be fixed/replaced/destroyed

Get a life

I kinda feel bad for the kid now, lol. It just goes to show ya that posting an ignorant comment WILL INDEED get you 3 pages worth of forum spankins. I just hop the guy learned a valuable lesson this time around.

On another note, I saw a few people say nothing good will become of this thread and that it was pointless. I try to always see the glass as being half full and this is almost like a blessing in disguise. Though it was COMPLETELY wrong to post this without talking to them first, it is good to be reminded that there are plenty of people on this forum that know simple ethics both business and social. I think this thread, if nothing else, represents the fact that this forum is meant to HELP fellow lancer owners as well as vendors, NOT bash them, and that there are plenty of people who still firmly believe in that.

So lesson learned, right?
