EVO 4g63 now able to be used in RWD's.
We have been working on our new adapter plates for the EVO 4G63 engines. We got them done finally and they are available.
For anyone wanting to transplant an EVO engine into a RWD platform this is the solution. This adapter plate will bolt up to any GM bolt pattern trans from the earlier small and big block engines. It uses the factory Evolution starter. We also have the ability to build the clutch/pressure plate/flywheel to make this a full kit. No more restrictions to use an automatic transmission. We will need to know which transmission you chose to do it all. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...rwdPLATE11.jpg The plates are $350 and made from 6061 aluminum, they are a 1/2" thick. These are instock. |

"For anyone wanting to transplant an EVO engine into a RWD platform this is the solution." ? read yes, they never stated this was for the evo, its a transplant. |
this would make all of the GM fellas crazy if you did a 4g63 in a 69 camaro- kinda like the RB26 into a 67 mustang fastback

There are already a ton out there, this is not a new product to the 4g63 just a new product to the evo 8/9 4g63 |
Correct it is not new. We did the very first RWD adapter plate, flywheel, torque converter, intake manifold, turbo kit, thermostat housing, alternator relocator kit and various other parts for the 4g63 to be turned for RWD use.
We built the first RWD with my '91 Talon, then my '98 Eclipse, the Civic we built, Brent Rau used our plate in his RWD, then the Mustang we built, the 1940 Ford Pick up my brother has, our '88 Conquest and then...........you guys get the picture. Like many other things 4g63, we were first. We are no longer building the adapter plates for the 1g/2g blocks to be used for RWD's. There were some changes we wanted to make, the EVO block is superior and I want to build a project car at some point. Just need to find a body I want to use. We have also never offered this for use with a 5 speed. The main idea this time was to offer this for use with some bad ass 5 speeds. My brother is currently running a Tremec in his 1940 Ford and has run a custom Quarter Master and now is running a milder Fidanze custom clutch in it. |

What about the LS series trannies? I was thinking about something like this before but with a 2jz and the vehicle would be a 1967 Chevelle Malibu.
